GALAVISIÓN’S NEW SERIES “LOS HEROES DEL NORTE” IS SPANISH-LANGUAGE CABLE’S NEW SUNDAY NIGHT HIT
MIAMI, FL – OCTOBER 21, 2011 – Galavisión, the leading Spanish-language cable network in the United States, announced today that its new series “Los Heroes del Norte” (Heroes of the North) is ranking No. 1 in its time period among all other Spanish-language cable shows, reaching an average 854,000 Total Viewers 2+ within its first two weeks.
Airing Sundays at 10 p.m. ET/PT, “Los Heroes del Norte” is a comedic story of five ordinary guys that meet under the worst of circumstances and form a band in their search for stardom within the world of norteño music. Since its premiere on October 9, the show has delivered an average audience of 256,000 Total Viewers 2+, a 224 percent increase for the time period when compared to four weeks prior.
In its time period, the series has increased its audience by double and triple digits across key demographics. Among Adults 18-49, “Los Heroes del Norte” is delivering an average audience of 152,000 – a 217 percent increase for the time period when compared to four weeks prior. The series has also delivered 264 percent more Adults 18-34 in the time period compared to four weeks ago.
On its premiere night, the series delivered 131,000 Adults 18-49 and increased the demo by 33 percent in the following week. Among Adults 18-34, “Los Heroes del Norte” increased its audience by 19 percent in its second week.
Among Hispanic Adults 18-49 and Hispanic Adults 18-34, “Los Heroes del Norte” is ranking No. 1 in its time period, outperforming all other Spanish-language cable shows. On its premiere night, the series delivered 70 percent more Hispanic Adults 18-49 than its nearest competitor Discovery en Español, while also beating MTV Tr3?s, FOX Deportes and mun2. On the same night, the series delivered 71 percent more Hispanic Adults 18-34 than its nearest competitor MTV Tr3?s, while also beating Discovery en Español, mun2, and FOX Deportes.
On its second night on October 16, “Los Heroes del Norte” delivered 26 percent more Hispanic Adults 18-49 than its nearest competitor Discovery en Español, while also beating mun2, FOX Deportes and MTV Tr3?s. It also delivered 12 percent more Hispanic Adults 18-34 than its nearest competitor Discovery en Español, mun2, FOX Deportes and MTV Tr3?s.
