 Ranks as the #1 Network for the 30th Consecutive Friday Night among Adults 18-34


Continues to be #2 Among Adults 18-34 in 2011 to Date Out Delivering ABC (+2%), CBS (+14%), and NBC (+8%)


Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of October 17, 2011 to October 23, 2011


  • Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on six out of seven nights last week among Adults 18-34 and on three out of seven nights among Adults 18-49.
  • Thus far in 2011, Univision is the #2 broadcast network among Adults 18-34, averaging more viewers in this demographic than ABC (+2%), CBS (+14%), and NBC (+8%).
  • In its second week Unvision’s “Protagonistas, el Reality” has increased its audience compared to premiere week among Total Viewers 2+ (2 million, +6%), Adults 18-49 (1.2 Million, +8%), and Adults 18-34 (714,000, +8%).
  • Univision was the #1 network for the 30th consecutive Friday night among Adults 18-34 and ranked #3 among Adults 18-49. Univision’s aired the top 2 programs for the night among Adults 18-34 with the #1 “La Fuerza del Destino” and #2 “Familia Con Suerte.”

ü  Both the 8PM novela “Familia Con Suerte” and the 9PM Novela “La Fuerza del Destino” delivered more Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 viewers than programs on FOX (“Kitchen Nightmare’s” and “Fringe”), CW (“Nikita” and “Supernatural”), as well as CBS’s “Gifted Man.”

  • Sunday night’s “¡Mira Quién Baila!” featured a guest appearance by the Latin “Queen of Rock” Alejandra Guzman.  Univision’s dance competition ranked as the #6 program for the night among Adults 18-34 and was among the top 15 for Adults 18-49.  The second season continues to outpace its prior season performance among Total Viewers 2+ (+6%), Adults 18-49 (+8%) and Adults 18-34 (+12%).
  • “Don Francisco Presenta” ranked within the top 15 programs on Monday night among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.  The telecast, which featured a mini segment of “Protagonistas,” built its audience compared to the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (2.6 Million, +6%), Adults 18-49 (1.4 Million, +12%), and Adults 18-34 (711,000, +1%).
  • On Saturday night Univision aired the #4 program for the night among Adults 18-34, “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) and secured the #3 position for the night among Adults 18-34 out delivering ABC (+4%) and CBS (+66%).
