CBS NEWS’ “FACE THE NATION” IS FIRST

IN HOUSEHOLDS AND ADULTS 25-54

ON SUNDAY, OCT. 30

 

“FACE THE NATION” IS ALSO UP +10% IN HOUSEHOLDS AND +7% IN VIEWERS, COMPARED TO THE SAME WEEK LAST YEAR

CBS News’ FACE THE NATION is first in households and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011.  The CBS broadcast posted 2.2/06, (tied with NBC) in households, 3.05m in viewers and 0.8/03 (tied with NBC) in adults 25-54. FACE THE NATION posted its largest audience since Mar. 13, 2011.

Compared to the same day last year, FACE THE NATION was up +10% in households (from 2.0/05) and +7% in viewers (from 2.86m).

On the broadcast, Bob Schieffer interviewed 2012 Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain.

FACE THE NATION is broadcast Sundays (10:30-11:00 AM, ET; check local listings) on the CBS Television Network. Mary Hager is the Executive Producer.  FACE THE NATION is one of the longest-running news programs in the history of television. It premiered on CBS on Nov. 7, 1954. The program broadcasts from Washington, D.C., where Schieffer has spent more than 40 years covering government and politics. He has anchored "FACE THE NATION" since 1991. Guests include government leaders, politicians, and global figures in the news.
