They will be joined by Akbar Gbaja-Biamila on the field as the sideline analyst. Paul Burmeister will helm VERSUS’ Mountain West Conference coverage and will be joined by Shaun King as analyst and Anthony Herron as sideline analyst. Randy Moss will serve as the play-by-play announcer for the Ivy League game and will be joined in the booth by Ross Tucker as lead analyst. Carolyn Manno will serve as in-game reporter. NBC and VERSUS will have an analyst reporting from the sidelines for all college football games to provide first-person analysis from the field and interact with the play-by-play and color announcers in the booth.
MAYOCK ON NOTRE DAME/MARYLAND: “To me, it is always very difficult to play a home game within 10 miles of your opponent’s home campus. For Notre Dame the challenge this week is to be mentally prepared, to be ready to play an ACC team that is having a down season but is talented enough to beat you. Maryland presents a challenge because their two quarterbacks have distinct style variations. So from a defensive prospective, you have to be prepared to play option football against one quarterback and three and four wide receivers with another quarterback.”
WILLIAMS ON MOUNTAIN WEST: “There is much at stake this weekend. Boise State senior defensive tackle Chase Baker believes this is for the championship and that the team needs to bring their A-game, I agree. The Horned Frogs have their work cut out for them trying to win on the blue turf. Boise State has won 35 consecutive home games, the longest streak in the nation.”
PARKER ON PAC-12: “These are two teams that need a win to accomplish what they set out to do at the start of the season. Arizona State has a chance at the Pac-12 championship and Washington State has a chance at a bowl game. ASU looks to rebound from a last second loss at UCLA and needs their emotional leaders to step up.”
TUCKER ON IVY LEAGUE: “The two-time defending Ivy League champion Penn Quakers travel to Cambridge on Saturday to take on the first-place Harvard Crimson in a classic match-up of strength vs. strength. The Crimson boast one of the best offenses in the country and have been averaging over 500 yards a game during their seven-game winning streak. The Quakers counter with a dominant defense, which is the best in the Ivy League for the fourth straight year.”
