The Reason ‘Prime Suspect’ Was Canceled May Seem Obvious To Us, But One Of The Show’s Writers Can’t Figure It Out

Certainly no one reading our site could have been surprised when Prime Suspect was canceled by NBC. The Renew / Cancel Index had it “Likely To Be Canceled” nearly six weeks ago.

And yet if you believe one of the show’s writers quoted by the NY Daily News, surprised he was:

Show writer Mike Sheehan tells us “nobody can figure it out” why NBC decided to drop the critically acclaimed cop drama,

C’mon. Is he kidding us, or kidding himself?

Perhaps someone should tell Mr. Sheehan that even on the ratings train of woe that is NBC primetime, a 1.35 adults 18-49 ratings average spells the end of the line.
