The Annual Visit of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” Posts Year-to-Year Growth in Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54

 

A Rebroadcast of “NCIS” is the Night’s #1 Program in Viewers

 

CBS Wins Tuesday in Viewers and Key Demographics

 

On a night of CBS holiday-themed specials, THE VICTORIA’S SECRET FASHION SHOW hit the runway with its highest adult 18-49 and adult 18-34 ratings ever and largest audience since 2002 while RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER delivered year-to-year growth, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Tuesday, Nov. 29.

 

RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER (R) (S) was first in households (6.8/10), viewers (12.67m), adults 25-54 (5.0/12), adults 18-49 (4.0/11), children 2-11 (5.5/17) and children 6-11 (4.8/14).  Compared to last year’s broadcast (on the same night last year), RUDOLPH was up +8% in households (from 6.3/10), +4% in adults 25-54 (from 4.8/12), +3% in adults 18-49 (from 3.9/11) and added +440,000 viewers (from 12.23m, +4%).

 

RUDOLPH posted its best deliveries in households, viewers and adults 25-54 since Dec. 4, 2007 and best adults 18-49 rating since Dec. 3, 2008. RUDOLPH was the night’s #1 program in adults 25-54, children 2-11 and children 6-11.

 

VICTORIA’S SECRET FASHION SHOW (S) won its time slot in households (6.4/10), viewers (10.30m), adults 25-54 (3.7/09), adults 18-49 (4.6/11) and adults 18-34 (5.2/11).  Compared to last year’s broadcast (on the same night last year), VICTORIA’S  SECRET FASHION SHOW was up +14% in households (from 5.6/10), +16% in adults 25-54 (from 3.2/08), +35% in adults 18-49 (from 3.4/09), +44% in adults 18-34 (from 3.6/11) and added +1.33m viewers (from 8.97m, +15%).

 

VICTORIA’S SECRET FASHION SHOW posted the best Monday to Friday 10:00 PM adults 18-34 delivery this season and second best adults 18-49 performance (behind the CMA’s).  If the ratings hold, VICTORIA’S SECRET FASHION SHOW posted its best households delivery since 2003, best viewers performance since 2002, best adults 25-54 rating since 2005 and best adults 18-49 and adults 18-34 ratings-to-date. VICTORIA’S SECRET FASHION SHOW was the night’s #1 program in adults 18-49 and adults 18-34.

 

At 9:00 PM, NCIS (R) (S) was first in households (8.2/12), viewers (13.35m), adults 25-54 (3.9/08) and second in adults 18-49 (2.9/07, -0.1 behind FOX).  NCIS was the night’s #1 program in viewers

 

For the night, CBS was first in households (7.1/11), viewers (12.11m), adults 25-54 (4.2/10), adults 18-49 (3.8/10) and tied for first in adults 18-34 (3.2/09, with FOX).
