Miami, FL December 5th, 2011 – Tr3s: MTV, Música y Más, the bilingual/bicultural entertainment destination for Latinos in the US, introduces new biography series “La Escalera”, profiling today's Latinos and their climb to success. The new documentary series will give viewers a front row seat to the life of today’s Latin superstars through never-before-seen footage and exclusive interviews from the folks who navigated them through the struggles and pitfalls of their success. “My blog is my tongue, if I didn’t have it, it’s as if someone ripped out my tongue!” says Perez.
“When I started to address the recent gay teen suicides, people started to call me a bully and a hypocrite. It made me realize I wanted to be part of the solution not the problem, I wanted to be the change I see in others.” – On the shift in his reporting.
“OMG I hope I don’t end up on there!” Gloria Estefan recalls her initial reaction to Perez’s site and later says, “I think he realized the power he has with his blog and that made him rethink his life and make a change in a positive way.”
