Boasting its #1 Telecast – and 3 of its Top 5 to Date – “The Chew” Delivers its 2nd-Most-Watched Week on Record in Total Viewers and Key Women; Posts 3rd Straight Week of Gains in Women 18-34, Besting Year-Ago’s “All My Children’s”

Daytime’s Top 3 Programs in Women 18-49 and the Top 4 in Women 25-54

  • ABC swept Daytime, ranking #1 in Women 18-34 (0.6 rating/185,000), Women 18-49 (1.0 rating/617,000) and Women 25-54 (1.3 rating/806,000)

 

  • Thursday’s The Chew,” showcasing the co-hosts’ favorite holiday dishes and featuring guest Dr. Mehmet Oz (“The Dr. Oz Show”), ranked as the series’ #1 telecast to date in Total Viewers (2.71 million), Women 18-34 (270,000) and Women 18-49 (605,000).

 

  • Furthermore, in Total Viewers Wednesday’s show, featuring guest Bobby Deen (“Not My Mamas Meals” (2.55 million), and Monday’s show, featuring Michael Simon’s “Five in Five” signature series (2.53 million), became the series’ #4 and #5 telecasts, respectively, to date.

 

  • Impressively, “The Chewgrew its audience for the 3rd consecutive week in Women 18-34, out-performing “All My Children’s” year-ago weekly average by 4% (178,000 vs. 171,000).

 

  • Also noteworthy, “The Chew” posted week to week gains across all target demos, including by 5% in Total Viewers (2.50 million vs. 2.38 million) and by 8% in Women 18-49 (517,000 vs. 477,000).

 

  • In Women 18-49, “The View” (#2 – 1.1 rating/693,000), “General Hospital” (#3T – 1.0 rating/646,000) and “One Life To Live” (#3T – 1.0 rating/612,000) placed among the week’s Top 3 Daytime programs.

 

  • In Women 25-54, “The View” (#2 – 1.5 rating/902,000), “General Hospital” (#3 -- 1.4 rating/844,000) and “One Life To Live” (#4T – 1.3 rating/798,000) stood among the week’s Top 4 Daytime programs.
