A&E’S HIT MONDAY NIGHT SERIES ‘HOARDERS’ AND ‘INTERVENTION’ RETURN WITH DOUBLE-DIGIT GROWTH IN NEW SEASONS

NEW YORK, NY – JANUARY 3, 2012 – A&E Network kicked off 2012 with tremendous growth for back-to-back premieres of its Monday night franchises, “Hoarders” and “Intervention.”

Last night’s season 5 premiere of the hit A&E series “Hoarders” at 9pm delivered 2.4 million total viewers, 1.3 million adults 25-54 and 1.1 million adults 18-49. The new episode marked dramatic growth of 60% among total viewers, 52% with adults 25-54 and 43% among adults 18-49 versus its season 4 average.

At 10pm, the season 12 premiere of the Emmy award-winning series “Intervention” delivered 1.8 million total viewers, 1.2 million adults 18-49 and 1.1 million adults 25-
54. It was up by 29% in total viewers, 20% among adults 18-49 and 18% in adults 25-54 versus its Season 11 average.

“Hoarders” is produced for A&E by Screaming Flea Productions. Executive producers are Matt Chan, Dave Severson and Jodi Flynn. Co-executive producer is George Butts. Executive producers for A&E are David McKillop and Elaine Frontain Bryant and Jessica Morgan.
