Fox News Leads Iowa Caucuses Cable News Ratings, Only Cable Net Up vs. 2008

Unsurprisingly, Fox News lead the cable news ratings on the night of the Iowa Caucuses, but interestingly it was the only cable news network to show gains on the night vs. 2008.

Here's some different slices of the data from Nielsen.

FNC was up 30% with P2+ and up 7% with 25-54
CNN was down 36% with P2+ and down 38% with 25-54
MSNBC was up 1% with P2+ and down 36% with 25-54

RATINGS PEAKS
FNC at 10:00-10:15PM with 3.1 million viewers and 880,000 Adults 25-54
CNN at 10:15-10:30PM with 1.5 million viewers and 664,0000 Adults 25-54
MSNBC at 10:00-10:15PM with 1.3 million viewers and in 25-54, 12:00-12:15a with 385,000 Adults 25-54

Note that these are early fast affiliate ratings from Nielsen, not final ratings like virtually all of the cable ratings we post. Because of the holiday delays, Tuesdays final cable news ratings will not be available until Thursday.
