|Program||Status||Renew/ Cancel Index|
The first week of our reset 2012 Renew / Cancel Index for ABC has ! put immediately into the certain to be canceled category, while 's 2012 start has now dropped it into the same prediction category.
Good news forfans, its ratings decline was stopped with its 2012 return. It never dropped out of the likely to be renewed category during the Fall, but the nagging question remained as to when the ratings would stop falling. Held breaths can be let out.
Crazyfans hanging on Paul Lee's TCA statement that " is very much alive" should know that the rational translation of that statement is "We're not going to renew it, but its still airing through February and of course we'd like to keep selling advertising on it while it does".
Unlike several networks, since ABC aired a nearly full schedule of new episodes last week, its Renew / Cancel Index is effectively complete and I feel good about making predictions on all the shows that appeared.
? - No,'s fate is not really unknown, but for consistency I have not put any predictions up for shows that had not yet aired new episodes between Jan 2-8.

The Renew/Cancel Index is the ratio of a scripted show's new episode adults 18-49 ratings relative to the new episode ratings of the other scripted shows on its own network. It's calculated by dividing a show's new episode Live+Same Day adults 18-49 averageby the Live+Same Day new episode average of all the new scripted show episodes on the show's own network. The network's average ratings in the calculation are not time weighted (ex. hour long shows are not weighted twice what 30 minute shows are).
(F) -Fridays: Shows airing on Fridays were renewed with significantly lower than average Indexes.
