HALLMARK CHANNEL ORIGINAL “A TASTE OF ROMANCE” IS #1 MOVIE OF WEEK AMONG HH RTG AND W25-54 RTG
Film Serves Up a Savory 1.6 HH RTG
“A Taste of Romance,” a Hallmark Channel original movie, cooks up a 1.6 HHwith nearly 2.6 million unduplicated viewers during its Saturday, January 14th premiere. The film scored as the #1 movie of the week among its key demo, W25-54, in addition to the #1 household rated ad-supported cable movie of the week.
In the Sat 8-10p time period, “A Taste of Romance” ranked in the top 10 for household and key demo ratings, which includes: #2 in HH (1.6 rtg), #3 in W25-54 (1.0 rtg), and #4 in W18-49 (.7 rtg). In addition, the film ranked #3 in HH delivery (1,396,000). “A Taste of Romance” lifted Hallmark Channel to the #2 rated cable network in prime time for the day among household rating, as well as the 2nd highest cable network for the entire day among W25-54 rating.
Emotions run high when former fire fighter Gill Callahan opens up his restaurant “The Fire Alarm Grill” right next door to Sara Westover’s “Chez Varenne”. To make matters worse, Gill’s rowdy restaurant soon overshadows Sara’s struggling classic French restaurant. Gill’s daughter, Hannah, helps ease the tension and bring romance into the kitchen; however their budding relationship is tested when a local food critic reviews “The Five Alarm Grill” instead of “Chez Varenne". Can the couple resist the temptation to compete with each other, or will the heat of the competition drive them apart?
