Fox Crushes Field in Adults 18-49 Ratings, Viewership for Week 18 Ending January 22, 2012

With nearly four hours of Giants/49ers NFC Championship in primetime on Sunday night and the premiere week of American Idol, Fox was way, way out in front for the week with adults 18-49 with  a 7.7 rating average. CBS and ABC tied for second for the week with a 2.1 adults 18-49 average. NBC was fourth with a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating average. Univision was fifth with a 1.4 rating. The CW finished sixth with a 0.5 adults 18-49 rating average.

Fox won the week with total viewers averaging 21.25 million viewers, way ahead of second place CBS’s 9.31 million average. ABC was third with 6.67 million, followed by NBC with 5.78m, Univision with 3.45m, and the CW with 1.21m.

Each adults 18-49 rating point is a percentage of the adults 18-49 US TV population and equals 1.279 million adults 18-49.
