Univision Finished the Week as the #3 Network among Adults 18-34, Out Delivering CBS and NBC
Univision is the #1 Network Pick on Friday Night among Adults 18-34, and Holds the #2 position among Adults 18-49.
Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights - Week of January 16, 2012 to January 22, 2012
- Univision was the #3 network during primetime last week among Adults 18-34, out delivering CBS (+18%) and NBC (+37%) in the demographic.
- Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on four out of seven nights last week among Adults 18-49. Univision also out-delivered one or more of the English-Language broadcast networks on every night among Adults 18-34.
- Led by “Una Familia Con Suerte”, Univision ranked as the #2 broadcast network from 8PM to 9PM during the week (based on M-F), among Adults 18-34. The novela also reported week-to-week audience increases among Total Viewers 2+ (3.8 million, +7%), Adults 18-49 (2.1 million, +8%), and Adults 18-34 (1.2 million, +8%).
- In its third week on air, Univision’s 9PM novela “La Que No Podia Amar” averaged 4.5 Million Total Viewers 2+ (+4%), 2.4 Million Adults 18-49 (+3%), 1.4 Million Adults 18-34 (+5%) and increased its audience versus the prior week.
- On Tuesday night as the #2 network among Adults 18-34, Univision’s entire line-up ranked among the top 15 programs for the night in the respective demographic.
ü Tuesday’s 10PM “Aqui y Ahora” telecast delivered 2.6 million Total Viewers 2+ and 1.3 million Adults 18-49 with strong week-to-week audience gains among Adults 18-34 (692,000, +13%).
- Univision was the #1 network on Friday night among Adults 18-34 and ranked as the #2 network among Adults 18-49.
ü Univision’s entire primetime line-up including “La Que No Podia Amar,” “Familia Con Suerte” and “Rosa de Guadalupe,” ranked as the top three programs Friday night among Adults 18-34.
ü In the current season Univision has been the #1 Network on Friday nights 16 out of 18 weeks among Adults 18-34.
- Airing “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday) Univision ranked as the #2 network among Adults 18-34. The telecast attracted 2.7 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.1 Million Adults 18-49, and 520,000 Adults 18-34 viewers to rank among the top 15 programs for the night in the respective demographics.
- On Sunday night Univision’s reality series “Gran Show Los Peques” (“The Big Show of the Small”) attracting 3.3 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.6 Million Adults 18-49, and 804,000 Adults 18-34 viewers to rank among the top 15 programs for the night in the demographics.

- Last week, TeleFutura recorded its highest weekly performance thus far in the 2011/12 Season with over 700,000 Total Viewers 2+ (721,000), 413,000 Adults 18-49 and 232,000 Adult s18-34 during Broadcast Prime (Mon-Sat 8pm-11pm/Sun 7pm-11pm).
- Versus its previous week average (01/09/12-01/15/12), TeleFutura delivered single to double-digit percentage increases among Total Viewers 2+ (721,000 vs. 622,000; +16%), Adults 18-49 (413,000 vs. 379,000; +9%) and Adults 18-34 (232,000 vs. 220,000; +5%) during broadcast prime.
- TeleFutura was the #2 Spanish-language Network during weekend broadcast prime, beating Telemundo by double-digit margins among Total Viewers 2+ (TF 963,000 vs. TEL 674,000; +43% Adv.), Adults 18-49 (TF 536,000 vs. TEL 396,000; +35% Adv.) and Adults 18-34 (TF 283,000 vs. TEL 241,000; +17% Adv.).
ü On Saturday night (January 21, 2012) from 10pm-11pm, TeleFutura aired “Choques Extremos”, which drew more Adults 18-49 (TF 198,000 vs. TEL 188,000; +5% Adv.), than Telemundo’s “Videos Asombrosos” special.
ü On Sunday night (January 22, 2012) from 7pm-11pm, TeleFutura’s primetime feature film “Cine de las Estrellas: El Dorado” significantly out-performed Telemundo’s prime time programming which included “Pa’Lante con Cristina” and “Cine Millonario: Fantastic Four” among Total Viewers 2+ (TF 1,418,000 vs. TEL 712,000; +99% Adv.), Adults 18-49 (TF 757,000 vs. TEL 397,000; +91% Adv.) and Adults 18-34 (TF 400,000 vs. TEL 251,000; +59% Adv.).
ü Lastly, “El Dorado” is currently TeleFutura’s 2nd highest ranking feature film in the 2011/2012 Season among Total Viewers 2+. Additionally, “El Dorado” on “Cine de las Estrellas” was TeleFutura’s highest-ranked program last week among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 during broadcast prime.
