“This Week with George Stephanopoulos” Grows its Demo Audience for the 4th Consecutive Week
“This Week” Stands as the Only Public Affairs Program to Grow Week to Week
On January 29, 2012, ABC News’ “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” attracted 2.504 million Total Viewers and 834,000 Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research. “This Week” saw its news demo audience grow for the 4th consecutive week (+4%) to hit its 2nd-best Adults 25-54 performance of the season. In addition, “This Week” stood as the only public affairs program to grow week to week as CBS’ “Face the Nation” (-3%), NBC’s “Meet the Press” (-20%) and Fox’s “Fox News Sunday (-19%) each saw decreases.

Note: CBS aired a special one-hour edition of “Face the Nation.” However, the last 30 minutes were coded a special and was re-titled “Face the Nation 2” (airing with 73% coverage); ratings for this portion of the program were excluded from the average.
