Super Bowl Fueled NBC Tops Adults 18-49 Ratings, Viewership for Week 20 Ending February 5, 2012

It was never in doubt that the Super Bowl (which wound up setting records) would push NBC to the top of the heap for the week ending Sunday, February 5. NBC won by wide margins with a 7.7 adults 18-49 rating average. FOX was a distant second for the week with a 2.4 adults 18-49 average (though that was up 20% from the prior week). CBS was third with a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating average. ABC was fourth with a 1.5 rating.  Univision was fifth with a 1.4 rating. The CW finished sixth with a 0.7 adults 18-49 rating average.

NBC won the week with total viewers as well, averaging 21.42  million viewers, ahead of second place CBS's 8.37 million average. FOX was third with 6.79 million, followed by ABC with 5.08m, Univision with 3.47m, and the CW with 1.56m.

Each adults 18-49 rating point is a percentage of the adults 18-49 US TV population and equals 1.279 million adults 18-49.
