Sure, literally more than 100 million more people were watching the Super Bowl Sunday night than Downton Abbey, but it still came in ahead of the repeats the English language broadcast networks put on against the Super Bowl.

“Downton Abbey” was watched by four million viewers at 9 p.m. Sunday. That was more than were watching CBS with “C.S.I. Miami” (3.1 million); Fox with “Family Guy” (2.4 million) and “American Dad “(2.2 million); and ABC with “The Middle (1.8 million).
