SUNDAY BEST SEASON 3 WINNER LE’ANDRIA JOHNSON WINS HER FIRST GRAMMY AWARD
NEW YORK — February 13, 2012 — Congratulations are in order for SUNDAY BEST Season 3 winner, Le’Andria Johnson. Johnson won a Grammy Award for Best Gospel/Contemporary Christian Music Performance for her 2011 single “Jesus” from her debut album “The Awakening of LeAndria Johnson” on the MusicWorld Gospel label. The single followed her win of BET’s gospel singing competition SUNDAY BEST.
SUNDAY BEST consists of a 12-week singing competition with gospel greats Kirk Franklin as host along with an all-star panel of judges including Mary Mary, Pastor Donnie McClurkin, and Yolanda Adams and mentor Kim Burrell. Viewers vote for their favorite contestant and ultimately decide who will be the season’s SUNDAY BEST.
