While NBC's Monday night results can certainly cheer them, their scripted show ratings during the rest of the week are absolutely disintegrating. Last week only three of their scripted shows did better than a 1.7 adults 18-49 (L&O: , , ).
Whenaveraged just a 1.61 adults 18-49 rating during the Fall, it was rightfully a concern for fans. And while Spring vs. Fall comparisons are a bit apples vs. oranges, that 1.61 rating would have been the median for NBC scripted shows last week!
Interestingly, it might have been a comparison advantage forto stay off the schedule for the rest of the season, but since NBC has announced it would return at some point this season, there will be some Spring ratings for comparison.
Too bad, the memory of its old ratings keeps improving!
The cancellation bear may have some difficultly sorting through NBC's pack of ratings losers by the end of the season. Stay tuned.

The Renew/Cancel Index is the ratio of a scripted show's new episode adults 18-49 ratings relative to the new episode ratings of the other scripted shows on its own network. It's calculated by dividing a show's new episode Live+Same Day adults 18-49 average rating by the Live+Same Day new episode average of all the new scripted show episodes on the show's own network. The network's average ratings in the calculation are not time weighted (ex. hour long shows are not weighted twice what 30 minute shows are).
(F) -Fridays: Shows airing on Fridays were renewed with significantly lower than average Indexes.
