NBC Results: 'Parenthood' Up 6%

From 8-10 p.m. ET, "The Biggest Loser 13" (2.3/6 in 18-49, 6.7 million viewers overall) jumped 10 percent week to week in adults 18-49 (to a 2.3 rating fro a 2.1) to match its highest rating since January 10. In total viewers, "Biggest Loser" is up 14 percent week to week (6.660 million vs. 5.858 million) to deliver its biggest overall audience since January 17 (pending updates).

"The Biggest Loser 13" grew from its first half-hour to its fourth by 14 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 2.5 from a 2.2) and ranked #2 for its final half-hour among ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CW in adults 18-49 ahead of Fox's "Raising Hope" and ABC's "The River."

At 10 p.m., “Parenthood” (1.7/5 in 18-49, 4.9 million viewers overall) is up week to week by 6 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.7 from a 1.6) and 10 percent in total viewers (4.912 million vs. 4.483 million). These are "Parenthood's" top 18-49 and total-viewer results since January 17.

In the time period, "Parenthood" is currently within 0.2 of a rating point of #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and is #1 among those networks in adults 18-34, men 18-34, women 18-34 and women 18-49. Note that "Parenthood" has been adding 45 percent to these next-day "live plus same day" ratings when Nielsen issues "live plus seven day" results.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Tuesday night:

In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.6/7; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.8/7; and ABC's combo of "Nightline," 3.2/8; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.5/5.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.6/3; "Nightline," 0.9/4; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.

At 12:35 a.m., "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.4/5 in metered-market households) tied CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.4/5). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.4/2).

At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.9/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

For the Week:

Paced by week two of “The Voice” and “Smash” and the season premiere of “The Celebrity Apprentice,” NBC averaged a 1.9 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49 and 5.6 million viewers overall for the week of February 13-19. “The Voice” finished in a near dead-heat for the week’s #1 ranking on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, with its 6.0 rating landing within a tenth of point of Fox’s 6.1 for the Wednesday edition of “American Idol.” “The Voice” ranked #1 for the week in adults 18-34, women 18-34 and women 18-49.

Also among the week’s top-ranked programs in adults 18-49 were NBC’s “Smash” (tied for #18) and “The Celebrity Apprentice” (tied for #25). In adults 18-34, “The Office” tied for #12 and “Smash” tied for #15.

Primetime averages for the week of February 13-19 in adults 18-49 were Fox (2.9/8), CBS (2.5/7), ABC (2.0/6), NBC (1.9/5) and CW (0.6/2). In overall total viewers the weekly averages were CBS (10.9 million), Fox (8.7 million), ABC (6.7 million), NBC (5.6 million) and CW (1.4 million).

Versus the same week last year, NBC is up 19 percent in 18-49 (with a 1.9 rating vs. a 1.6) while ABC, CBS and Fox were all flat or down in 18-49 rating.
