Season finale "Judgment Day" was watched by more than five million people Friday night, February 24th
The season two finale of GOLD RUSH on Friday, February 24th was the #1 primetime program in ALL OF TELEVISION(no exclusions) among P18-49, M18-49 and M25-54 — beating out all broadcast and cable programs; it surpassed special program airings regarding NBA All-Star Weekend, as well as ABC’s Shark Tank, CBS’ Blue Bloods and Undercover Boss, FOX’ Fringe and Kitchen Nightmares, and NBC’s Grimm and Dateline).
GOLD RUSH has been the #1 program in all of television (no exclusions) for Men 18-49 delivery for 13 weeks in a row among M18-49 delivery; for M25-54 delivery it has been #1 for 10 weeks in a row.
This week’s season two finale, "Judgment Day," earned a 3.53 HH / 2.64 P25-54 AA%, delivering an average of 5.06 million viewers (P2+) (+18% vs. the Season 2 final in the P25-54 demo)
Since its season two premiere, GOLD RUSH has been the top cable program in several key demos; this week it finished as the #1 cable program (no exclusions) among HH, P2+, P18+, Persons/Men/Women 25-54 and Persons/Men/Women 18-49 delivery.
Driven by ratings for GOLD RUSH and BERING SEA GOLD at 10PM (2.26 HH / 1.77 P25-54 AA%, delivering an average of 3.16 million viewers (P2+)), Discovery Channel was the #1 network in all of television on Friday night (out-delivering ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS, TNT and ESPN) among Men 18-49; it was #2 among M25-54, behind CBS.
Discovery Channel was also the #1 cable network among P/M/W25-54 and P/M/W18-49 ratings and delivery.
