"CBS SUNDAY MORNING" POSTS BEST FEBRUARY SWEEPS DELIVERY IN HOUSEHOLDS SINCE 2006 AND BEST DELIVERY IN VIEWERS SINCE 1994
CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD remains the #1 Sunday morning news program in households, viewers and adults 25-54, a ccording to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Feb. 26. CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted a 3.8/10 with 5.33m viewers, 1.3/06 in adults 25-54. Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +9% in households (from 3.5/10), +3% in viewers (from 5.17m).
In the February 2012 sweep, CBS SUNDAY MORNING delivered a 3.9/10 with 5.51m viewers and 1.5/07 in adults 25-54. Compared to last February, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +8% in households (from 3.6/10), +4% in viewers (from 5.28m) and +7% in adults 25-54 (from 1.4/07). CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted its best delivery in a February sweep since 2006 in households, since 1994 in viewers and since 2010 in adults 25-54.
Season-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING is up +3% in households (3.7/10 from 3.6/10), +1% in viewers (5.33m from 5.29m) and even in adults 25-54 (1.4/07) compared to last year.
The Oscar-themed broadcast included correspondent Lee Cowan’s cover story about Hollywood extras, Mo Rocca’s interview with independent film legend, Roger Corman, Martha Teichner’s conversation with eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken, and Anthony Mason’s investigation into the origin and history of the tuxedo.
