When Will You Know If Your Favorite Show Is Canceled or Renewed?
With the 18 show renewals by CBS earlier this week, and the news of the Grimm renewal today I figured it was time to get this calender out.
Although many renewal and cancellation announcements for broadcast TV primetime shows for the 2012-13 season will happen prior to these dates, the broadcast network upfront events are the final date on which each network’s fall schedules might be revealed.
So, you’ll know no later than these dates about the fate of your favorite broadcast primetime shows. (although for the craziest of fans, cancellations revealed on the dates below really don’t mean anything…)
2012 Broadcast Network Upfront Meetings
|May 14, 2012||NBC||New York||Morning|
|May 14, 2012||FOX||New York||Afternoon|
|May 15, 2012||Univision||New York||Morning|
|May 15, 2012||ABC||New York||Afternoon|
|May 16, 2012||CBS||New York||Afternoon|
|May 17, 2012||The CW||New York||Morning|
Cable networks also have advertising upfront events spread throughout March, April and May, but they aren’t typically “the day renewals and cancellations are revealed” as are the broadcast events.
