It's certain that CBS will cancel A Gifted Man and Unforgettable, as well as at least one of the CSI offspring (NY or Miami). More sitcom time could save Rules of Engagement and/or Rob, but without it, they're both likely gone too.

Two and a Half Men will certainly be renewed. It's just a matter of settling how much Ashton Kutcher will get paid. Somewhere between a lot and a whole bunch is my guess.

The Renew / Cancel Index above includes results beginning January 2, 2012. How did CBS' shows stack up based on their Fall results? Click here.

  •     - certain to be renewed by May, 2012

The Renew/Cancel Index is the ratio of a scripted show's new episode adults 18-49 ratings relative to the new episode ratings of the other scripted shows on its own network. It's calculated by dividing a show's new episode Live+Same Day adults 18-49 average rating by the Live+Same Day new episode average of all the new scripted show episodes on the show's own network. The network's average ratings in the calculation are not time weighted (ex. hour long shows are not weighted twice what 30 minute shows are).

(F) -Fridays: Shows airing on Fridays were renewed with significantly lower than average Indexes.

I took a look on “A Gifted Man”. That show is super awesome. Ironic single man saving humans by curing their brains. Guy with awesome friends and he’s holding his line well.

    9/10

i do not believe that unforgettable or a gifted men will be cancelled they both bring in awesome views with averaging about 10million each.

  • Lennie

I will be really aggravated if The Gifted Man and Unforgettable are cancelled. I watch both of these shows every episode. Have missed The Gifted Man since the “season finale” (CBS calls it Season Finale but apparently misled the viewers o that). These shows get decent ratings. CBS puts a new show, Unforgettable, on between two shows that already had a year or two on air. CBS needs to give these shows a chance. The Gifted Man I have been so grateful to have on Friday night because the only other good show on Friday is Bluebloods (I should say GREAT show for Bluebloods).

  • Cathi

I love “A Gifted Man” and “Unforgettable” also. Please don’t bust my
bubble! There are very few shows that I truly love and look forward
    to watching.

  • Barbara

This is horrible A Gifted Man is a great show & so is Unforgettable. I can believe they would take these 2 shows off & what put some more reality shows not fit for the 50 & up watchers. Think about it please do not take them off.

  • Barbara

CSI New York is another great show why ruin a good thing please leave it on. What is happening?

  • Cheryl Danduran

I cannot believe that you are cancelling Gifted Man and Unforgettable in favor of keep some silly comedies. Your viewing demographics are not only “silly” teenagers and young people who have not yet grown up. Come on, CBS, wake up and continue shows that are very well done and teach a thing or two. Are you looking to lose more and more viewers???

  • Michelle

I LOVE ‘A Gifted Man’, please don’t cancel it!!!! I’ve been a big fan since it aired! The writing, acting and plot line is superb, one of the few shows I watch on a regular basis.

  • Mel

I’m thoroughly discussed about the cancellation of A Gifted man and Unforgettable. How many reality shows and comedy’s do we need?
These two shows have substance and are throught provoking, the types of shows mature adults enjoy.

  • Mel

    *comedies

  • Sandy

The Gifted Man is one of the best shows on TV, you get used to watching these new shows and after the rating comes out if they are not one of the top 3 they cancel them, no matter what the people think. What do we have to do to have our voices heard, Keep the Gifted Man on.

  • poshreany

cancel a csi and a comedy like rules of engagement ,im only young but it think that unforgettable and a gifted man are fantastic shows… shows like mike and molly and blue bloods shouldn’t have been renewed…

  • Donna

I can’t believe they cancelled A Gifted Man and Unforgettable. Perfect nite for A Gifted Man on Friday and now its gone. They bring on all the reality shows and cancel the good stuff. Don’t they ever listen to the audience………………Bring it back…….Get rid of some of the CSI’s instead….

  • Camila

How can they cancel CSI Miami and NY, and leave CSI out of the deal? What the heck? At least, renew them for a final season to give them a worthy series finale!

  • Renee

I miss a Gifted Man, I love the show and don’t want to see it cancelled. Unforgettable was always solid too. WHY?!?!

  • Barbara

I am one of, apparently, many viewers who love A Gifted Man and Unforgettable. It doesn’t seem right to cancel entertaining programs and leave on all of those “reality” shows and silly comedies, where people would never be as asinine as portrayed on some of these programs.

  • poshreany

how come they have to cancel any when all there tv shows bring in good numbers in ratings and views…

  • Lisa

I can not believe that a high-quality program like “A Gifted Man” has been cancelled. I’ve been looking at the listings the past several weeks and trying to figure out why it wasn’t there in its usual Friday night slot. Who are these boobs who decide what’s worth keeping and what not? (I realize it’s all about the numbers. Apparently TV viewers can’t recognize quality programming when it slaps them in the face. Maybe it should be a public television offering.)

  • Patti

I am NOT HAPPY about Gifted man getting canceled. I do agree with the others that this show is really great & needs to stay on!!! I have watched from the very first episode. WE NEED TO KEEP THIS SHOW!!!
