It's certain that CBS will cancel A Gifted Man and Unforgettable, as well as at least one of the CSI offspring (NY or Miami). More sitcom time could save Rules of Engagement and/or Rob, but without it, they're both likely gone too.

Two and a Half Men will certainly be renewed. It's just a matter of settling how much Ashton Kutcher will get paid. Somewhere between a lot and a whole bunch is my guess.

The Renew / Cancel Index above includes results beginning January 2, 2012. How did CBS' shows stack up based on their Fall results? Click here.

The Renew/Cancel Index is the ratio of a scripted show's new episode adults 18-49 ratings relative to the new episode ratings of the other scripted shows on its own network. It's calculated by dividing a show's new episode Live+Same Day adults 18-49 average rating by the Live+Same Day new episode average of all the new scripted show episodes on the show's own network. The network's average ratings in the calculation are not time weighted (ex. hour long shows are not weighted twice what 30 minute shows are).

(F) -Fridays: Shows airing on Fridays were renewed with significantly lower than average Indexes.

We both love A Gifted Man and hope it is not cancelled. It is hard to find many shows that have good morals on TV today. Give this one another chance.

  • sara bertran

“Can we get a recount?” A Gifted Man needs at least another season before being considered a failure. I cant believe there were not enough fans for this show. Maybe because it is a good show you can just enjoy and the fans are majority women our voices are not being heard. Who do i yell at?

  • DAVID R

How the heck can the justify cancelling A gifted man it won its friday rating every single week bar one and that was a re run it has averaged over 9 million viewers every week and was gaining more viewers towards the end of its run.

If they cancel it they need to get there heads slapped for sheer stupidity.

  • Regina Denson

I love “A Gifted Man”, I wait for new episodes impatiently and I will be devastated if it is cancelled.

  • Dave

A Gifted Man started on the wrong foot with the supernatural angle. That could be what dooms it. I think it is an excellent show, with tremendous potential and great actors, and I love the fact that it deals with a neurosurgeon, but the hocus-pocus supernatural shaman stuff could doom this show.

  • joan

Absolutely agree with all who want unforgettable and gifted man to renew. Two of very few shows I watch each week.

  • Kathy

Save a gifted man. Decent show, great plot and story line and love the blogs from the free clinics! CBS listen up and keep this show!

  • Star

I truly enjoy watching the gifted man and unforgetable. I never watch reality shows and I’m not into comedy programs.

  • Patty

I really liked the gifted man and it was something on Friday that was worth looking forward to. Seems like the reality junk is getting kept on these TV stations and they so are not worth watching because all’s it is cussing, fighting and no morals.

  • Amber

I am with just about everybody!! A gifted man was a great show. Why are you leaving some of these other stupid shows on?

  • James Lopez Jr

Why are they canceling A Gifted Man it was just getting good interesting. She was going to leave her husband for the Doc. Good story line Everyone I know watches so who did they ask when they took this pole or survey

  • Cuki from Argentina

A GIFTED MAN REALLY CANCELLED? Please don’t. I’ve watched every episode since 2011 and really love it. Is one of my favorites shows, it’s just amazing. A second season would be the best notice of the year. I’m so sad, i don’t want it to end like that. Please CBS folks… just read all the positive reviews. If you want i’ll pay Patrick salary. I need A.G.M.

  • kctobyjoe

Gifted Man is the BEST; one of the few shows I watch on CBS; including Person of Interest

  • kctobyjoe

CAN ROB; just ANOTER attempt to FORCE the rest of us in the US to ‘embrace Spanish’ just like that ludicrous VW commercial!
    ROB SUX!

  • Ellen

Please rethink taking A GIFTED MAN off the air. I never missed an episode. This show and BLUE BLOODS give me, my friends, and coworkers a common thread as we discuss not only the most recent episode but how closely some of the content reflects real life events. Please take your eyes off the “bottom line” and listen to the viewers. We know what we like to watch. Bring Patrick Wison back!

  • Barbara Schuster

CBS execs have their heads up their %&** if they cancel “A Gifted Man” the show if one of my favorite s—-there is so much crap on TV and a good show with great characters that are sincere and have morals they want to cancel—is goodness not envogue—-sex is the only thing or cop and lawyer shows–c’mon folks lets save this show!!

  • Fran

Please do not cancel A Gifted Man. I love that show. Patrick Wilson is awesome in the roll of Michael Holt,MD. The rest of the cast is good too.

  • Bobbi

Please, Please do NOT cancel A Gifted Man!!! It is one of the best, different shows to come along in a very long time. We have missed it during the past few weeks. Please put it back on for pubblic viewing.

  • Cheryl

What is up with canceling ‘A Gifted Man’? Not enough sex or violence? I love that show! Great acting and great story lines. Other than Blue Bloods, not much else happening on Friday night tv. Friday night will now become another redbox night.

  • Susan

I love Unforgetable. It seems that shows that appeal to people who are over 49 are of no interst to the networks, and they wonder why they don’t get larger audiences. CBS has the best dramas on TV,
