I moved Awake from "toss up" to "likely to be canceled" last week, but it didn't make the headline because I wanted to get Bent's certain cancellation in first. Another week of ratings brought more bad news. Awake fell to just a 1.0 adults 18-49 rating last week. It's now certain to be dinner for the cancellation bear.

- toss up between renewal or cancellation by May, 2012 -
- more likely to be renewed than cancelled by May, 2012 -
- certain to be renewed by May, 2012
The Renew/Cancel Index is the ratio of a scripted show's new episode adults 18-49 ratings relative to the new episode ratings of the other scripted shows on its own network. It's calculated by dividing a show's new episode Live+Same Day adults 18-49 average rating by the Live+Same Day new episode average of all the new scripted show episodes on the show's own network. The network's average ratings in the calculation are not time weighted (ex. hour long shows are not weighted twice what 30 minute shows are).
(F) -Fridays: Shows airing on Fridays were renewed with significantly lower than average Indexes.

Awake is a fantatic series, hope you’re wrong about it’s cancellation, if not then it’s a waste of a great idea and America will be left with real dross
Ugh, I’m not okay with this! Awake is a great show…can’t we just move it to a cable station…I don’t care what channel it’s on, I just want to be able to watch it!
I can’t believe this is happening. Awake is such a fabulous show. Very sad news.
Awake needs to be picked up by a different station I think. I also think they need some better ideas/new writers. I think NBC should give Awake one more season at least.
Awake and Up All Night are the 0NLY shows I watch on NBC!!! Save them.
Seriously… Whitney is likely to be renewed and Awake is not?? I know they’re two different types of shows, but come on! Whitney is terrible.. Awake is a great show, and would probably do really well in a different time slot.
Id think Awake is one of those series that could have a high probability of being picked up by another network. Seriously, I could see that show doing well on CBS along with all their other procedural shows.
AWAKE is an awesome show … just stuck in a bad place. Fridays after GRIMM would be cool. NBC hardly ever let’s a show find it’s audience. I will watch it until the bitter end.
it does not take a rocket scientist to report that a drama of that cost that draws less than 3 million overall viewers would be cancelled. Come on ByTheNumbers a palm reader could have predicted this..
