Ringer gonna be cancelled for sure with those ratings. I’m not surprised of the ratings for glee, last nights episode wasn’t very good. This is the third week in a row Body of Proof has been on top. I see a second season for Body of Proof.

  • Bee

so glee’s return actually helped new girl beat it? LMAO so bizarre.

and wow these spring ratings. 2012’s numbers have shown just how much repeats are hurting the shows. times are changin’ and these days, if a show takes too many gaps, people lose interest and forget about it. the TV season needs to be shortened. i mean, there’s a chance NCIS might be the only drama to break 3.0 this week! WTF?! i feel bad for GCB and scandal. they’ve been well-recieved and would’ve done so much better in the fall. i hope ABC takes that into account.

i worry for apt. 23. annoying title + bad promos + up against idol’s toughest half-hour + weaker modern family lead-in + general spring ratings “massacreness.” if it can break a 2.5, then it succeeded. i also wonder how the revenge recap will do. as bad as a repeat or around somewhere in the high 1.0s/low 2.0s?

I hope ABC renews Body of Proof. I think it’s a capable, entertaining program that allows you to sit back and relax (but still enjoy the ride). I’ve gotten use to the cast and the story (both have improved over season 1). Does anyone know if BoP repeats well enough for syndication possibilities?

Cougar Town is my favorite comedy on air… I agree even at its creative lows, it’s still better and funnier than other shows. Personally, I wish that some cable or pay-cable network picks it up if ABC passes. I hate it when great ensembles disband.

Also: New Girl & Raising Hope were awesome last night. Nancy Grace was tough to take at first, but, once you realized how ridiculous she was, it made it easier to swallow. I don’t know what to think about Hope’s mom returning… (jumping the shark?)

  • Rebecca

True, re: ABC….but why would they even mention CT if they “hated” it – I want to look on the bright side, lol.

I agree, NG & RH were awesome. Weird about Hope’s mom returning, from the dead?!? But really looking forward to part 2 next week.

It’s a shame Ringer didn’t do well, It was one of my favourites this season, actually probably my favourite new show this season. Ah well just gonna have to enjoy the series finale :(

  • John A

I hate that the major plot on Ringer wont be resolved as in that siobhan is alive. I guess Bridget will find out in the final minute. In a ideal world id love Ringer to get a 13 ep final season and be on Friday and maybe give Nikita a final 13 ep too so everyone would win.

Body of Proof averaged 8.61 million viewers and a 1.74 rating among adults 18-49. I think ABC should renew it and keep it in mid-season, where it gets better ratings. Let’s wait and see how Private Practice does next week.

LMS for the majority of its first season has been above 2.0. It wasn’t until Couagar Town came in after it that its ratings started to drop and now in the past two episodes its rating has dropped below a 2.0. On top of that, does ABC even promote LMS and Cougar Town?????????? Yeah, I didn’t think so. I’m not dissing on Cougar Town either because I too feel as though they need to be put with compatible shows but both have suffered from ABC’s brilliant scheduling, hiatuses, and lack of promotion. I definitely think they both deserve to be renewed even though Cougar Town never hit above a 2.0 at all since its return.

  • gustavo

I guess with the good wheather:The ratings looks real thin.Looks like the ratings are on diet.

  • David

    Lol @ “The Boiggest Loser”.

  • Amy

Wow. I was expecting for The New Girl to get a higher demo with Glee returning, but I didn’t expect it to actually get a HIGHER demo than Glee! That’s impressive!

New Girl and Raising Hope are my favorite comedies. So I’m happy to see that both were renewed! And that New Girl has such a good demo compared to other shows on other networks!

I’m an NCIS LA fan, too. Personally, I think NCIS LA is more interesting/fun than the original NCIS. So I don’t know why it got a low demo this time. But it’s only once, and the show has already been renewed for a next season.

  • brian

As low as ringers ratings have gone down I think it WILL get renewed. Honestly. IMO its their best new show this year anyway. Hart of dixie sucks donkey.

  • Ultima

2012?s numbers have shown just how much repeats are hurting the shows

That’s clearly the most logical conclusion. Networks have been airing repeats for decades and this year was finally the breaking point. There is nothing else that could possibly explain the drop in ratings this spring!

  • disney rocks

I remember just 3-4 years ago, dropping below a 2.0 demo on NBC was considered sudden death. Now look at it.

  • Sparky

Don’t know about everyone else but I’m pretty much done with what was a really bad and lackluster season of TV. Bring on the summer schedule – Rookie Blue and USA shows especially Suits – can’t wait until June comes around and I finally get my weekly dose of Harvey and Mike but mainly Harvey!!!

  • forg

The Middle also fell below 2.0 a couple of times during Spring, and I think like the Middle LMS has the potential to grow with summer repeats so I hope ABC keeps it for another season

  • Ultima

Body of Proof averaged 8.61 million viewers and a 1.74 rating among adults 18-49.

Which is terrible. The River and Pan Am averaged 1.7, too. ABC has six dramas (excluding DH) and five sitcoms with better ratings than this.

I think ABC should renew it and keep it in mid-season, where it gets better ratings.

Wait, what? Body of Proof gets 1.9 with DWTS and 1.5 without it. Holding it for midseason would mean holding it until late March; what is the point of doing that?

Let’s wait and see how Private Practice does next week.

You didn’t seriously write that immediately after offering your opinion. /headdesk

For those of you who said, repeats were the reason ratings are low is absolutely right. In my opinion, a show that airs repeats or goes several weeks without a new episode, then I forget about it. Unless I love the show; POI in this case, I will make sure to know when the next episode is. But others are very busy and may not know when the show is airing again. So they lose interest or forget, and that’s how many shows lose viewers. You can either shorten the TV season like Bee earlier said or shorten the hiatus to one week and have more episodes a season. Although 22 is quite enough, it seems short with all the gaps in between. I mean you go 2-3 weeks with new episodes and then a 3 week long hiatus. Kind of a drag, and I forget what happened in the previous episode!! :) just my 2 cents

  • CrimTV

Unfortunately networks don’t care how good a show is, they just care for it’s ratings :(

  • alexjones

Ringer’s series finale is next week! Could it go up to a 0.5?

maybe, maybe not, either way the shows dead.
