Fashion Star….WHY? Maybe NBC will dump it and save Awake. Thursday night is seriously tied up with good drama, while Tuesday night could use some help.
@NealR
Haha…I’m not on “vasebook” either (I was a while back but I’ve quit it a few times now). But yeah, I remember back when we had mailing addresses (snail mail) for all the networks (back when there were just three or four). Now we can get word to them via their website. I’ve never sent any show ideas other than one short outline of a possible Chuck episode to NBC (and it wasn’t used; I didn’t expect it to be). And there is no guarantee anyone important will read what you send, but at least when you do it you feel like you helped/contributed. Good luck.
I like Ringer but it’s going off the deep end like a show that knows it’s getting canceled. Last episode was INSANE. It literally made no sense whatsoever, what they did with Caroline’s storyline and character that is… it’s playing out its last days like a full on soap opera.
I love Ringer, Hart of Dixie, 90210 & GG. Why are people so into those supernatural shows instead of “real-life” stuff? I just don’t get it and never will.
RAISING HOPE: I figured out the name (“Afterlife”) of the Outer Limits (90′s version) episode (staring Clancy Brown as an alleged mass-murderer that the public believes was executed) that I predict (just a guess) will be “stolen” from to explain Lucy being alive.
(As they said in an old Dick Van Dyke episode, “if you’re going to steal, steal from the best”.)
I won’t spoil it, but if anybody is curious you can watch the episode (only the first three minutes are relevant) on hulu (ignore the “medical experiment” bit; obviously the Natesville PTB would want some other kind of help)
Of course, come Tuesday night I may be proven completely wrong!
@Rebecca – Glad to hear you aren’t a member of “vasebook” either! (We may be about the only two left!)
Unfortunately CW executives do not know what they are doing series like Nikita and Ringer are poorly utilized, Ringer mainly because the best episodes in the series could improve hearing comes after reruns of 90210 and still compete with two reality show , The Voice and Dancing with the Stars.
It’s a shame more is almost certain that Ringer will be canceled.
Okay, I have egg on my face. But the important thing is it was a very funny episode. (Bobby “Jimmy’s Fake Girlfriend” Bowman has seldom disappointed, either in RH or “My Name is Earl”. Kudos!)
Lots of funny lines that really somehow sold the ridiculous premise. Plus I loved how they Jason Lee, Ethan Suplee, and Jamie Pressly to do cameos!
I must admit that the ending bothered me a little, but I was so relieved that the APPARENT ending (going off to Tibet) didn’t happen that I was in tears of joy — which I imagine is exactly what was intended (to make us really feel what it would be like if the family got broken up). And having that tune from the opening funeral scene of “The Big Chill” (sung by some old band, I forget which) really make it work too.
@Rebecca — What did you think of it?
(P.S. Just kidding about not knowing the Rolling Stones!)
Hit “submit” too soon! Other thoughts:
1) Was that “Ride like the Wind” that was playing during Lucy’s brief time in the hereafter?
2) The reason I say “ridiculous premise” is not so much because of the odds against someone surviving an electrocution, but because it is legally impossible for “the charge to be dropped” once a person has been convicted. (Yes, I know, this is a comedy… which is why I soon forgot about this. Epsecially with all the funny bits (hemoroid pillow on head!) and lines (“I thought letting the lady pick the jury was the gentlemanly thing to do”!).
3) My only real complaint: Wish they had been able to work in a cameo for “the crabman” too!
