During the week of April 2, 2012, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live was up over the prior week in both Total Viewers (+2%) and Adults 18-49 (+7%) to attract its biggest audience since November – since the week of 11/21/11. In addition, JKL grew its overall audience by 5% over the same week last year.
- · During the week, ABC’s JKL stood as the #3 late-night talk show in Total Viewers, behind only NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and CBS’ The Late Show with David Letterman.
- · ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live (M-F 12am) outdrew NBC’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon (M-F 12:35am) by double-digit margins for the 2nd week in a row in Total Viewers (+14%), while also scoring its 2nd straight win over the NBC late-night program in Adults 18-49 (+8%). JKL topped Fallon in both viewers and young adults on 4 of 5 days of the week. In fact, for the 2nd consecutive week, a repeat telecast of JKL on Friday outperformed an original telecast of Fallon in both Total Viewers (+7%) and Adults 18-49 (+8%).
- · ABC’s JKL beat CBS’ The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (M-F 12:35am) by impressive double-digits in both Total Viewers (+32%) and Adults 18-49 (+15%), marking the 22nd time in the 29 weeks of the season for the ABC late-night program to beat the CBS program in both Nielsen measures. In fact, JKL has drawn a larger overall audience than Ferguson in 28 of the 29 weeks this season.
- · Season to date (29 weeks), JKL is building its overall audience over the comparable weeks last year by 3% in Total Viewers, growing the most year to year of any late-night broadcast talk show.
