UNIVERSAL CITY, CA – April 11, 2012 – mun2, the bicultural cable network, was the #1 Hispanic cable network for the third consecutive week in a row, according to Nielsen. During the week of 4/2/12-4/8/12, mun2 delivered 117,000 total viewers, 73,000 adults 18-49, and 51,000 adults 18-34. Fueled by the continuing success of the original novela “La Reina del Sur” (Kate del Castillo), the second season of the mun2 original docu-reality series “I Love Jenni” (Jenni Rivera) and the 2012 CONCACAF Men’s Olympic Soccer Qualifier, mun2 out-delivered Galavision by +1% in adults 18-49 and by +38% in adults 18-34 as well as Discovery en Español by +23% in adults 18-49 and by +48% in adults 18-34 for a third week in a row across all demos, in prime-time (Mon-Sun, 8 p.m.-11 p.m.).

For April to-date the network delivered 139,000 total viewers, 85,000 adults 18-49 and 52,000 adults 18-34, out-delivering Galavision by +15% in adults 18-49 and +24% in adults 18-34. The network is among the top 10 most watched cable networks, regardless of language, for Monday-Sunday 7 p.m.-11 p.m., beating TNT, the Disney Channel and Comedy Central, with Hispanic adults 18-49.

Season to-date, mun2 has increased its prime time delivery with a +11% in total viewers, +9% increase in adults 18-49 and a +10% in adults 18-34. mun2 continues to be on track to have its most watched season in the history of the network.


mun2 reached record-breaking ratings with the 2012 CONCACAF Men’s Olympic Soccer Qualifier games, scoring its highest audience in network history on 3/31/12 with the El Salvador vs. Honduras qualifier game which delivered almost half a million total viewers (481,000), 311,000 adults 18-49, and 134,000 adults 18-34.

“Reina del Sur” (Monday – Thursday 10 p.m.) continues to be the #1 most watched program during its time period for the month of April across all Hispanic cable networks. “Reina del Sur” ranks #4 among all cable networks, regardless of language, out-performing Comedy Central, TNT, Disney channel and FX, among others. For April to-date, the novela delivered 163,000 total viewers, 120,000 adults 18-49 with 89,000 adults 18-34 (Monday -Thursday, 10 p.m.).

The mun2 original “I Love Jenni” increased its audience during its Monday at 8 p.m. airing for April to-date, delivering 86,000 total viewers, 65,000 adults 18-49, and 45,000 adults 18-34. This is a month-to-month increase of +97% adults 18-49 and +73% in adults 18-34.

Also during April, the mun2 original program “Reventon con Yarel” (Sunday, 12 p.m.) saw growth, delivering 61,000 total viewers, 43,000 adults 18-49 and 31,000 adults 18-34. The program showcases Regional Mexican music and lifestyles, and saw a jump of +54% in adults 18-49 and +72% for adults 18-34.

Digital –
For April to date,, the networks award-winning digital property, had double digit growth with 3.8 million page views, an increase of +77% versus prior month and up +77% year-over-year. had over 138,000 streams of its original content including web vignettes and mun2 series.
