    @disney rocks

    Yeah, but it matched it in the demo, which is all that matters. Plus, I’m pretty sure Suburgatory does better than The Middle with the 18-34 crowd. But yeah, no reason to move it.

    So Apartment 23 opened 0.1 higher than Happy Endings, but Modern Family was 0.3 higher last night too. So I guess they did about the same in their premieres, which should give us an idea of what Apartment 23’s ratings trajectory is going to look like.

    Too bad BFF isn’t catching on, it’s the best comedy NBC has premiered this season.

    This is how bad ABC’s scheduling is – instead of trying to always air either all original or all repeat episodes on Wednesdays, they have somehow managed to screw everything up and mix originals and repeats on four weeks out of seven: last night, Revenge wasn’t on. Next week, The Middle isn’t on. In two weeks, only Apartment 23 and Revenge are new and on May 23, there will be a Suburgatory rerun because, for some reason, it airs an original episode out of a Middle repeat next week. Who is running this damn network???

    Wow Rock Center. What an embarrassment. How is this still on?

    At least Apartment 23 didn’t adjust down.

  • Leondre

    SVU Please get a 2.0 next week O

    @John A Considering Happy Endings went down to a 2.9 just this past February before the time changed while Modern Family rated a 5.5, I don’t think Apt. 23 did all that terrible. Like TVBTN said, it was an OK performance, and I hope it stays within this range and doesn’t fall too far.

  • CrimTV

    BTW if your interest Apt. 23 had a 70% retention.

    NBC needs to keep Harry’s Law as that’s a whole lot of viewers that NBC can be taking advantage of. Remember guys viewers build demos for the shows behind it.

    Please explain how viewers in the 50+ demo for one show help build viewers in the 18-49 demo for the following show.

    @ Water Cooler

    I like your schedule as the Tuesday placements of their new comedies Downwardly Mobile and Lady Friends was genius behind The Voice Results.

  • MattM

    Rock Center is still on because it costs them close to nothing to make. I think repeats of ER would do better numbers.

    @ Ultima
    How it works is as long as a show has viewers to snag from a show no matter how it skews can build its own demo. If a show is going to skew young its going to raise its ratings regardless but it has an even better chance of doing so if the viewers in front of it are there. Just look at New Girl when it was doing 3s and 4s in the demo behind Glee because Glee had a lot viewers to pull from. Once New Girl got a weaker lead-in its demos went down with it because there wasn’t that many viewers to pull from.

    “Rock Center is still on because it costs them close to nothing to make. I think repeats of ER would do better numbers.”

    Who cares how much it costs? Law and Order:SVU reruns can do better. NBC just wants to keep Brian Williams happy.

    @ Water Cooler
    Thank you I think in order for NBC to truly improve as a network it needs to get the ratings for comedies back up and NBC’s trademark historically has been high-rated comedies. Downwardly Mobile and Lady Friends gives them two different options heading into 2013-14 to build up a whole comedy block with the extra exposure behind The Voice.

    @ MattM
    You’re correct Rock Center doesn’t cost NBC anything so it can stay on regardless of its ratings plus its an extension of their news division.

  • Sarah

    Remember when NBC used to be the most watched network? I think they are in an even worse place than ABC was before they got Lost, Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy.

  • CrimTV

    @Water Cooler

    So what if there are viewers, networks look for 18-49, the reason New Girl dropped was not because there were less viewers in it’s lead-in, it was because there were less 18-49 viewers. Like Ultima said, putting a show that gets 0.9-1.2 ratings a week with 7-9 million viewers is not gonna help the show following it get high 18-49.

    @Water Cooler
    How it works is as long as a show has viewers to snag from a show no matter how it skews can build its own demo.

    Since you couldn’t explain it, I will…

    It doesn’t matter if a show has 10 million 50+ viewers and all of them continue watching the next program, they are still the same age an hour later and therefore have absolutely no impact on its 18-49 demo rating.

  • Skylar

    Modern Family has really fallen from grace. Obviously its still doing really well, but its far from the ratings beast it was just a few months ago

    “Modern Family has really fallen from grace. Obviously its still doing really well, but its far from the ratings beast it was just a few months ago”

    It will go back to pulling 5s in the fall.

  • DenverDean

    NBC is stupid, they should have moved SVU back to Tuesday after this hiatus. If it can pull a 1.7 against CSI, it would easily win the timeslot against BoP/PP and UnF

  • Viktor

    Apt.23, I need that show to be renewed! I watched 1 & 2 episode and I need that show in my life!

  • mdmb

    @rob60990

    i really hope so ..

  • Joseph

    @Water Cooler
    Plus about Rock Center , since it is not on at 10pm and not a lead for the local news programs it is not as important for the affiliates that depend on decent lead in for local programming.
