NEW YORK – April 13, 2012 – Days 3-5 – The NBC Sports Group continues to present the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs tonight with four Conference Quarterfinal games across NBC Sports Network (double-header), CNBC, and NHL Network. Over the weekend, the networks will air a combined total of 12 games.

 

TONIGHT

 

At 7 p.m. ET on NHL Network, the #3 Florida Panthers host the #6 New Jersey Devils in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference series. Then at 7:30 p.m. ET, the #4 Pittsburgh Penguins host #5 Philadelphia Flyers for Game 2 of their action-packed Eastern Conference rivalry on NBC Sports Network (Flyers lead 1-0), while the #4 Nashville Predators host the #5 Detroit Red Wings on CNBC at the same time in a Western Conference matchup (Predators lead 1-0). The final game of the night is at 10 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network also in the West between the #1 Vancouver Canucks and the #8 Los Angeles Kings in Game 2 (Kings lead 1-0). Coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. ET with NHL Live on NBC Sports Network. Tonight’s schedule (all times ET):

Coverage on NBC begins tomorrow when the Eastern Conference’s #2 Boston Bruins host the #7 Washington Capitals in Game 2 of the series (Boston leads 1-0) at 3 p.m. ET. Later that night the #1 New York Rangers host the #8 Ottawa Senators on NBC Sports Network (Rangers lead 1-0) at 7 p.m. ET followed by #7 San Jose Sharks at #2 St. Louis Blues on CNBC (Sharks lead 1-0) at 7:30 p.m. ET. The night concludes on NBC Sports Network with Game 2 of #6 Chicago Blackhawks at #3 Phoenix Coyotes at 10 p.m. ET (Coyotes lead 1-0). Coverage begins on cable at 6:30 p.m. ET with NHL Live on NBC Sports Network. Saturday’s schedule (all times ET):

Later that night, coverage continues with two games on NBC Sports Network when #3 Florida hosts #6 New Jersey at 7:30 p.m. ET, followed by #1 Vancouver at #8 Los Angeles at 10 p.m. ET. GAMES TELEVISED SO FAR

 

For the first time in the 95-year history of the NHL, every Stanley Cup Playoff game will be televised nationally. The NBC Sports Group will provide unprecedented access to the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs in April, May and June, televising as many as 105 playoff games and possibly more than 262.5 hours of programming. Games will be presented on NBC, the NBC Sports Network, the NHL Network, and NBCUniversal’s business channel CNBC in primetime.
