CBS News’ FACE THE NATION SPECIAL on Easter Sunday is the #1 public affairs show. FACE THE NATION SPECIAL is first in households, viewers and adults 25-54. The CBS broadcast posted a 2.3/07 in households with 3.11m viewers and 0.8/04 in adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for April 8, 2012. Editor’s Note:FACE THE NATION’s second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 63 percent of the CBS affiliates.
Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is up +5% in both households (2.1/06 from 2.0/05) and viewers (2.99m from 2.85m) and +14% in adults 25-54 (0.8/03 from 0.7/03) compared to last year. Season-to-date, FACE THE NATION is first in adults 25-54 (tied with NBC).
On the broadcast, Bob Schieffer interviewed Cardinal Timothy Dolan and hosted a roundtable with Richard Land, president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics and Religious Ethnic Commission; Rev. Luis Cortes Jr., president of Esperanza; Rabbi David Wolpe of Sinai Temple in Los Angeles; Sally Quinn of The Washington Post; and Andrew Sullivan of Newsweek.
