So Scandal is officially just getting whatever PP did. That’s not encouraging.

9pm TBBT beat the 8pm TBBT, meaning CBS should have little problem expanding the comedy block to two hours.

I don’t know what to make of Touch. 2.3 isn’t great – maybe Fox gives it one more 13 episode spackle order for Spring?

I found out that my 80 year-old-mother, whose first language isn’t even English, enjoys the Big Bang Theory. She’s healthy and lives on her own, and actively chooses to watch this show.

  • Chevy Chase

I told you Community wasn’t that funny

Craig said “I find it both hilarious and depressing that people on here sincerely believe that just because a show has better numbers that it somehow = a better quality show. This isn’t football, people.

Popularity does not equal quality. If that were the case, we would herald Justin Beiber and Britney Spears as pinnacles of musical artistic accomplishment for our times.”

Some shows that are bigger will have more fans who believe that the show they watch is a quality show…and you can’t blame them for that as their opinion just like yours and mine are “subjective” to their likes and dislikes….same can be said for those ppl who believe that a show like P&R is far more intelligent than other shows as their view is also subjective on their likes and dislikes…

The only difference is that those who enjoy the former are more numberous while those who view the latter can be counted on your hands and feet (haha)

    Scandal steady!!!!! Go scandal

  • Babygate

I agree with @Craig. Quantity does not equal quality.

CBS has some excellent shows, but it also has some that I find vulgar and offensive like 2 and a half man and 2 broke girls that constantly teeters the line between vulgarity and comedy. TBBT is funny enough but is a vapid show with no real purpose or character development. I’ve seen it a few times on re-runs because I wanted to know what the hype was about and I don’t see it. It’s funny enough but these numbers are kind of startling to me.

At least Touch stayed the same. I hope it keeps this up for the rest of the season.

  • Lane

I think Scandal will be renewed as long as it stays over 2.0

  • Andrew

I don’t understand the appeal of the big bang theory. I’ve watched four episodes and have not have laughed once.

    @Chevy Chase

Lol. Be nice Chevy, don’t make the nerds come out of their pillow forts. :P

  • Tom

Both “Missing” and “Scandal” are great shows! They are just in very competitive time slots! I hope ABC renews both. As for “GCB,” I have watched every episode, but I find the show boring as hell and hope ABC cancels it. It is no replacement for “Desperate Housewives.”

  • MattM

I have no idea either, I’ve also given it plenty of chances and it does not click for me.

Scandal is doing worse than Private Practice in its old slot. What if Private Practice does worse than Body of Proof (ep 18-20) in its Tuesday time slot? Then PP will simultaneously be doing both better and worse than Scandal. ;)

But honestly, the decisions on all thee + GCB are going to come down to the wire. Don’t expect to hear any news about them until days before the upfronts.

It’s depressing to see Rules double 30 Rock’s ratings. I wish Parks and Rec the best of luck next week, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it came back to a new series low.

I thought Grey’s would have been adjusted up. Grey’s hasn’t recovered from the episode that aired against Idol. Its like the same thing that happened to DH for the past 2 years, that it hasn’t recovered after airing against award shows. I think DH ratings only mostly recovered this year, because DH has a good lead in from OUAT, and one of the major characters died. Perhaps, if Grey’s brings in some big storyline again, like they did in the fall, before they went on hiatus, I’m sure ratings could go back to 3’s.

Scandal ratings aren’t great, and retention is just ok. If I were ABC, I’d renew PP over Scandal, mainly because, both perform in the same way, but ABC needs to promote Scandal, and they don’t really promote PP.

Touch seems to have stabilized at 2.3, with the half hours the same as last week. But, it will probably be lucky to get high 1’s/low 2’s on its own without Idol.

30 Rock below 3 million viewers is horrible. Those numbers are just embarrassing now.

Wow, I can’t believe a TBBT repeat could get a 3.1, against full 9pm competition in a timeslot its not used to. This show can manage mid 5’s to low 6’s if its at 9pm.

    @ Andrew

I feel the same with Parks & Recreation and Community. Wanted to like both and gave them numerous chances but laughed at neither.

Meanwhile, I due enjoy Big Bang Theory.

The laugh track is horrendous but it is a very solid written comedy. Which is amazing considering it comes from the mind of Chuck Lorre.

Meanwhile, I due enjoy Big Bang Theory.

Although looking at your username it kind of makes sense…

How many shows will ABC cancel? I watch quite a few of the “Bubble” ones. Don’t Trust The B In Apt 23 is my favourite (second episode was much better) but I don’t know how many will be saved.

  • a p garcia

Missing is such a good show, too bad it is up against a monsters AI, BBT and DST. Scandal is like most NBC shows-low ratings.

  • OERM

Scandal will go down next week against The Mentalist, and GA will get lower against a new POI, it will be hilarius if PP on Tuesday gets better ratings than Scandal, I really hope for it, but that will mean that PP will stay on Tuesday. ABC has to consider a new show with the same ratings than and old one, and a lot of promotion is not what they expected.

Last year per the web CBS announced their line up on May 18, 2011.
So you could guess something will be made public before the end of next month.
