Fringe shed a tenth of a ratings point vs. last week falling to a series low-tying 0.9 adults 18-49 rating and The Finder marked its second Friday appearance by shedding two tenths from last week dropping to a series low 0.9 adults 18-49 rating. I'm guessing many are marking the "Joss Whedon's 'Cabin in the Woods'" square on their Fan Excuse Bingo cards.

Both #Finder and #FRINGE were at a .9 rating in 18-49 viewers

@Dennis
Uh, dude…
I was being sarcastic…
why would anyone pay for syndicated Fringe..it can’t get 1.0 in first run?

@halloween
If given a good timeslot I could see Fringe doing better overall in syndication. A serialized show is far easier to follow when you don’t have to wait a week between episodes and then months between seasons. I guarantee once it goes into syndication there’s going to be tons of people wondering where the heck they were when Fringe was on new.
How do you feel now, constant critics of NBC?
Um, where are the total number of viewers? I guess, like the Bible, you people in the media pick and choose what to publish. Lol. I’m sure the number of viewers were, once again, huge. Probably around 3 million.
Fringe got 2,898,000 viewers overall. Fringe has had lower overall viewership and still pulled 1.1 regardless. I hate the demo crap.
Fringe got 2898000 viewers
If FOX renews Fringe at this point they really want 2nd place next year.
No matter what is said I will always be a fan of Fringe. I think it’s truly sad how people have to not tune into a show that is fresh and innovative instead they’d rather watch the other dribble that constantly repeats itself. One day people will watch decent until then shows like Fringe will be canceled unfortunately.
@rob60990
And what are they going to put there that’s going to do so much better? Alcatraz and Finder would both tank on Friday night. They might as well do the final 13 episodes just to fill the time slot if nothing else until they can figure out what to do with it.
@ Mierdringe
You should pray for Fringe’s renewal. If it’s canceled, what will you have to make your pathetic life interesting ?
@ Spencer
No, you’re wrong, it stabilised and actually went up last week. But whether it gets 1.1 or 0.9, it’s still awful and I don’t think it matters anymore.
it will come back and haunt ur fridays
haters like it or not we ll be back for a 22 episodes 5th season!
Just the link its posted above, pretty much confirms an agreement has been reached the it will be officially announced next week.
13 more episodes!
@ rob60990
You know, it must be boring to always be number 1… and if it allows a quality show to survive a little longer, where’s the matter ? It’s not as if you actually cared about FOX’s overall ratings next season, is it ?
@peterb
I love Fringe and would like it to last 8 seasons, but let’s be real: It’s getting a 13-episode final season. Although selling to cable is still not out of the question, a half season on Fox is the best we can hope for at this point.
It should a low for every season right ?
The Finder killed Fringe
?
@Spencer
Doesn’t Fringe hit a new low every week?
No. It has hit one new low since November.
I do find it amusing that even though shows on all networks and all nights are consistently dropping to new series lows each week, it’s only certain shows that get mocked for doing so. Over the last month, how many times have we seen any given show hit a new ratings low? Admittedly it’s more noticeable when the show gets low ratings anyway, but it should hardly come as a shock that if figures are dropping by 0.1′s and 0.2′s on Monday through Thursday shows, the same is likely to happen on a Friday too.
As others have said, I stopped banking on the ratings to get us a season 5 ages ago. If Fringe comes back it’ll have nothing to do with its demo and everything to do with its profitability later on.
