The end is near, but not near enough for my headline writing imagination in these weekly CW posts.
Writing these posts with no new news and the same three at risk shows in the headline has made it ever more difficult to come up with something new. Instead, I settled on something the Google searchers will appreciate.
Don't suggest I headline a post with "Something Will Be Renewed". Relatively nobody searches for that.

The Renew/Cancel Index is the ratio of a scripted show's new episode adults 18-49 ratings relative to the new episode ratings of the other scripted shows on its own network. It's calculated by dividing a show's new episode Live+Same Day adults 18-49 average rating by the Live+Same Day new episode average of all the new scripted show episodes on the show's own network. The network's average ratings in the calculation are not time weighted (ex. hour long shows are not weighted twice what 30 minute shows are).
(F) -Fridays: Shows airing on Fridays were renewed with significantly lower than average Indexes.

@Darcy I feel like the CW will pick up Gossip Girl because it’s Gossip Girl, The Carrie Diaries because of Sex & the City, and Cult because they revived it. If you add Heart of Dixie to that, they’d be giving Josh Schwartz 4 out of the 10 hours on their schedule. I don’t see them doing that. I am a Nikita fan, so I am a bit biases in my mind. I could be wrong, but I think Heart of Dixie would have a higher price tag with Rachael Bilson and filming in California VS Maggie Q and filming in Canada. Yeah, it builds out of its small Gossip Girl lead in, but not by much. Nikita also airs on Fridays with lower expectations and no lead in support.
@Jenna, last year CW ordered six pilots and picked two of them, and they got Ringer from CBS when CBS passed on it.

Everyone’s favorite character will be back in time for the finale — yes, we’re talking about the Impala. Speaking of favorites, Jim Beaver tells us there’s a good chance he’ll return as Bobby in Season 8 — so while it looks like he won’t be coming back to life any time soon, we can expect him not to be banished forever.

Are they stupid or what? Why this stupid gossip girl.. Which the storyline is only dating and sleeping each other certainly get renewed and fantastic NIKITA is still on the bubble!

NIKITA need to be renew for more seasons and a movie will be great
George, google nikta season two budget cuts, theres killing off several off chracters or having them offscreen or simply writting them out.Nikita has a big cast, stunt doubles, lot of sets,lot of weapons and tech gadgets.Theyve already killed Carla, Sergi Semak,Sen Pierece,Tom,Jayden and gotten rid of Nathan, written out Cassandra &Max, they dont even show Alexses apartment, plus they blow everything up(nikitas lair, Birkoffs place, Sen. Piereces car.)I havent heard about Hart undergoing budget cuts, so im pretty sure Nikitas more exspensive to film.
um… i love ringer! every week it was awesome and left you hanging! it better be renewed! maybe CBS or fox could pick it up!

I’ve got news for you, Nathan is expected to be a series regular “if” NIKITA is renewed and Owen is expected back as well. Plus Sean Pierce is still alive. Stop talking about NIKITA as if you watch the show because you DONT! If you did, you would’ve known that Sean is still alive.

Also, enough with the “Hart is VERY CHEAP” and “NIKITA is expensive” crap.You can’t just look at a show and assume that it’s cheap/expensive to produce.
There are many underlying factors that we don’t know about. Liz Tiglear kept on bragging last season that LIFE UNEXPECTED was the cheapest show on The CW to produce; how well did that turn out huh?
I’m praying they don’t move The Secret Circle to Friday. Supernatural has the numbers to survive a Friday slot. TSC will be DOA, which is frickin’ criminal considering how amazingly good it is. If any of you stopped watching, come back now. The last ep was INCREDIBLE!!!!

Also, the article on nikitas budget cuts were on tvfanatic and tvline if you want to look it up, im not making it up but I dont know how to post links here or I would.

Is Owen coming back? Craig – They won’t see him at the end of this season. There were various behind the scenes economical reasons. “I know that Devon had tweeted something like ‘I guess I’m no longer on Nikita.’ I don’t know why he did that because we didn’t say that.” Shane – “That was surprising. I think I tweeted back.”
I’ll admit like Craig did that they couldn’t afford to have him for any more episodes this season, BUT, he didn’t rule him out as never coming back. IF and I’ll say again that IF the show comes back, we could very well see him.
Question: Any Ryan-centric Nikita scoop! I was very happy to see him rejoin the team last week. —Cady
Ausiello: Pray extra hard that Nikita gets renewed, Cady. I’m told if the show comes back for a third season, Noah Bean (a.k.a. Ryan) will be promoted to a full-fledged series regular.
As for Craig killing off characters; I remember reading that article on TvLine where he said that he’d start killing off characters. But so far he’s just killing off the guest stars. No major character has died “yet”.
Until you find proof of your so called “budget cuts” and that NIKITA is more “expensive” than Hart of Dixie,then those will just be false rumors from your delusional mind.
