I probably should have moved The Finder to "certain to be canceled" immediately after it was moved to Friday night, but I had other shows I wanted to put into the headline and I was gone last week and wrote my previous Fox renew / cancel post way in advance. Nevertheless, The Finder's woeful ratings on Friday confirm the obvious. It's certain to be canceled.
How can Fringe, with similarly woeful ratings, be just a "toss up"? Read last week's post about syndication if you're wondering.

The Renew/Cancel Index is the ratio of a scripted show's new episode adults 18-49 ratings relative to the new episode ratings of the other scripted shows on its own network. It's calculated by dividing a show's new episode Live+Same Day adults 18-49 average rating by the Live+Same Day new episode average of all the new scripted show episodes on the show's own network. The network's average ratings in the calculation are not time weighted (ex. hour long shows are not weighted twice what 30 minute shows are).
(F) -Fridays: Shows airing on Fridays were renewed with significantly lower than average Indexes.

I am one of the viewers that throw off the ratings as I dont watch from a TV but from my computer so my views as does many others dont count. I think they need to take a ‘net viewer count’
I loved the pilot of the finder on bones. I believe they had the perfect cast at that time.
I still enjoy the show and the two original characters (Walter and Leo. Ill say it again. It was the original 3 that made it work and wish they would bring them all back. Regardless I still watch the show faithfully.
PLEASE DONT CANCLE! BUT please do try and bring back the original female character.
Tonights episode threw me off so much so I had to wonder if it was heading for cancellation. It was a nice twist into the future, meeting his daughter and so on. Right there they had a good start for another season instead of a heading to and ending. I love this show as well and will very unhappy to see it end.
As I said in one of my earlier posts. Im not one of the viewers counted as I watch all programs on the net not on a TV. I think they need to consider that many of us do this, in my case avoiding TV all together, but still like my programs via the internet.
If FOX drops both the finder and fringe, Ill be dropping Fox. (yet who am I to make them worry or care)

Neither The Finder nor Touch should be cancelled. It’s not liked they pulled 2s out of 6s or 7s for Idol.
The “Idol lead-in” is pulling 3s and 4s, and 2s are good for dramas these days anyway.
Touch and The Finder need some time to stabilize and grow an audience.

I wanted to watch Fringe last night and thought why not have on Finder so that I do not miss the start of Fringe. But after about 5 minutes of horrific delivery by the cast it became unbearable and had to change the channel from the Finder to Shark Tank.

This was not even about the script but rather how the piece was delivered and directed.

FOX needs to get this mess off their network as quickly as possible.
Fringe got a 1.0 and Finder got a 1.2 last night
Glee 2.4, House 2.0, Bones 2.1, Raising Hope 1.8, Touch 2.1.
1.2 on Friday with the possibilty of growth over summer is good.
The top rated show on Friday is 1.4.
Fixing a vote while also doing my new vote (Dennis didn’t take a point from Touch when it looks like he meant to). No biggie.

It’s a shame The Finder is being cancelled, I really enjoyed watching the show.. I wish they would change their minds about cancelling it. I know that won’t happen though.
