   If Secret Life is up I hope this means Make it or Break it is up.

   You wouldn’t say that if you’ve seen the series before, specifically Season 5 which is brilliant. But these numbers do go a long way in explaining why this series was too expensive to keep on the air. Perhaps this will calm people saying the network hates Scifi which isn’t true.

   New timeslot. Anyway 13 episodes left to go.

   Such a shame this series is ending, more so that the networks decision to renew the show for a half season was over ruled and reduced to 1 episode in the end.

   Secret Life lost viewers once Gossip Girl and Bones came back on April 2. The week before that the show pulled in 2.5 million viewers with an 18-49 rating of 1.1. The show is just facing very stiff competition right now in that 8 pm slot. My guess is that the show’s ratings will shoot up in the summer when all the competition is on hiatus. They’re still pulling in good numbers given the fact their on a small network and in their 4th season.

    Any numbers for Oprah’s LifeClass on OWN from Toronto?

    For the last three outings, it’s been averaging under 350,000. This past Sunday’s Next Chapter, Oprah’s other signature show, did only slightly better at 382,000 viewers.

    I’m no researcher, but when Next Chapter finishes dead last in primetime in cable (as reported by FutonCritic) that can’t be a good sign.

    Make It Or Break It deserves more. Such a shame, it truly is one of the best original programs ABC Family has to offer.

    The 8 pm time slot on Monday’s is BRUTAL. All these shows are killing each other.

    MIOBI don’t lose heart. Make it or Break it’s ratings are actually better than Jane By Designs were. The ratings for both Secret Life and Switched at Birth are virtually identical from this year and MIOBI is holding SL’s audience better than Jane did. Also, the competition on Monday nights in the spring is nowhere near the competition S@B/JBD faced earlier this year. There’s still a very good chance we’ll see a MIOBI 3B.

    I havent been watching basketball wives since Gossip Girl has came back on but good that it is doing well and Lalala show has been doing very well this season, I don’t remember it ever being this high and styled by June is also doing well for vh1. Glad to see that. Bethenny is well back over 1 mil viewers for this week and the last couple of weeks, I love her.

    Actually the Monday competition now is very comparable to the Tuesday competition in January. Both VERY tough. The difference is that MIOBI is on season 3 and has loyal fans returning where JBD was brand new and was building up a fan base from scratch. It also didn’t help that SAB was only 10 episodes in and probably wasn’t the best lead in for a brand new show. JBD’s true test will be this summer.

    Please start putting the damn hockey games in the cable ratings every night for now on.

    WWE did well without Brock Lesnar and the program not being live this week.
