Fringe drew a 1.0 adults 18-49 rating vs. a series low 0.9 adults 18-49 rating last week. At 8pm, The Finder had a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating, vs. a series low 0.9 adults 18-49 rating last Friday.

The Lucky One and Think Like A Man were the two movie premieres in wide release on Friday, but they'd have been a stretch for the Fan Excuse Bingo Cards had there been declines.

Via @MaskedScheduler:

Well good news gang #FINDER 1.2 rtg in 18-49 and 4,206,000 viewers and #FRINGE up to a 1.0 with 3,089,000 observers

The night's full ratings now posted here.

Odd jump for The Finder. Its still dead though. Wouldnt be shockes if Fringe lost to a CSI NY repeat. :D

  • carigis

    finder will be adjusted down

  • Dennis

If Fringe is getting renewed, I think at this rate it won’t be until the network upfronts

I know this is hard to swallow for some, but let’s face it, if Fringe was dead and gone, the last 7 days after a real poor (and I mean Poor, even for Fringe) 0.9, were perfect timing to announce to the world “F is getting the axe!” did I miss it? No, I don’t: silence this time is louder than words…

Fringe still has it and was pretty good (the final scene left it open for follow up episodes big time). It is one of two shows that I don’t FF any of its scenes (commercials of course are since my viewing the show is not counted anyway). It’s a major shame it’s been stuck on dead Fridays and it better get its season 5.

Nobody can stop Fringe, Gossip Girl from renewing. We saw what happened to Chuck and The Good Wife. If you still think, networks will go only by the numbers, then think again.

  • DCC

If Fringe gets renewed (and I really hope so), it won’t be because of its “great” ratings…

  • Dennis

    Well you were wrong :)

    CSI:NY repeat got 0.8

  • Fair

Renewed or cacelled .. last night’s Fringe was amazing, heck,
it’s much better than every episodes of this season’s NCIS!

Damn right! Numbers are a great factor for starting shows, but for veteran shows that has been running for a while there’s always something more than plain numbers behind them.

  • Justin121

    They’re both 50/50.

    Glee 2.4, House 2.0, Bones 2.1, Raising Hope 1.8, Touch 2.1.

1.2 on Friday with the possibilty of growth over summer is good.

  • (A)

correct! And fox is far from sure to have something with higher rating to replace Fringe with on friday.

  • Vanquished

Why don’t they put shows that kids watch on Fridays, like the American Idols, and give a show like The Finder a Tuesday or Wednesday air date. I’ll be honest, I had better things on Thursday to watch, but I download the ep later and watch it. I don’t have anything better on Tuesdays or Wednesday and I’m never at a tv on Friday nights…

“Not such a fantasy. The clue in the episode was a date that corresponds to a friday in September that could potentially serve as a fifth season premiere date. Even if the producers had no knowledge of a renewal, the date was a nice guess and probably done on purpose.”

    Fantasy rationalization!

  • Tested

Fringe will not get a 5th season based on these numbers. It may get one, but these numbers are just awful. My hope (okay, fantasy) is that Fox may give it 13 episodes and run it on Mondays with Alcatraz in the fall. That’s highly unlikely, but would make for a fun night of programming.

  • (A)

@tested, numbers are irrelevant at this point, it was well explained on this website as well..

  • The End

Quite a few shows in trouble have done that. Watch the finale of Stargate Universe, you’l see quite a few lines dropped by the producers that basically say give us one more season please.

  • MiketheCanadian

Been awhile since i posted but I’ll just say again anna torv/rupert murdock connection equals renewal. That being said both Finder and Fringe last night were the best things on this week by a big margin, not even GoT or South Park were that entertaining, its a shame really that we have come to this crossroads in quality drama but there it is, this is what reality has wrought.

  • Robert Scorpio

I think the ride “Fringe” has taken us on has been great. The fact it doesn’t atract the same numbers as AMERICAN IDOL or THE VOICE means at least those who are watching Fringe have brains….

  • Jiji Moran

When “Fringe” came on, I thought I had missed an episode. I mean, everything so different and with these two new characters on.

It is assumable now, that the next episode will tell us how the “gang” got ambered, and how the baldies took over. So, we can figure out where is Olivia and how can the observers be destroyed.

The producers were on Twitter last night, and they had a tune going of “thank you for being such a great fan”, “thank you for watching.” No discussion on the episode.
