@TheBoss1
“it will be four weeks post-op this Wednesday.”
And soon it will be 8 weeks, and then 12 weeks and then longer. The first 2 months or so drag by, but as feisty as you are in the post you will be kicking backs side in the real world soon.
Just a reminder, you must crawl before you walk, you must walk before you run and you must be able to walk and chew gum before you can fall down drunk.
@Boss1 & USNretiredx2
Truth is I went 5 weeks one time after a surgery and could not drink coffee, and while I don’t cuss much, Trust me it was a living hell
You’ll get there Boss, hang in their, it gets better.
@usnretiredx2
I have some free tickets to Syria, if you have vacation time, you can have them. Hehehehehehe
Its falling apart there for those people USN. I sure feel for them.
check out Mika it is so true

What I call a living hell was telling the better half no coffee, water, food, or ICE CREAM for 5 months.
@Coffee Steve
“Its falling apart there for those people USN. I sure feel for them”
I do not think it really ever has been together in our lifetime.
I liked the music link you did, just wish when I was catching up on my reading that when I went to the next page it stayed on.
@usnretiredx2
I had a friend who used to listen to news out of Syria on a ham radio, I found out last week he passed away, but up until about a month ago he told me things that were going on in Syria, whole towns being wiped out, thousands every week being displaced, kids simply just being shot, stabbed, etc.
But isn’t it comforting just knowing the United Nations is on the job and sending more monitors? What a great organization huh? The UN is the biggest joke this planet has ever known as any kind of force.
@Coffee Steve
The above was for you and so in the below, local boy and a oldie but goodie.

@Coffee Steve
Many, many years ago I was a Ham operator on the USS New Jersey. The only way back then we could get in touch back home when out to sea. I will sit up in the Radio Shack at night talking to places all over the world. Kind of like posts.
will = would
@usnretiredx2
Good song, I enjoyed that, reminded me of my factory days
@TheBoss1 & USNretiredx2
One of the best concerts I ever attended was Gerry Rafferty (Baker Street Fame) I learned recently he died last year at age 68. Good grief I’m Old. Hey USN, TheBoss1 is a huge oldie rock music fan too, the man knows his stuff, maybe we can get TVBN to start a music ratings site and we can pick up camp and move in there
@Coffee Steve and TheBoss1
“Gerry Rafferty (Baker Street Fame)”
Good album.
I am up for that. I have a set of speakers on my bike with a 150watt amp in my tins that I am jamming at 80mph. I have everything from blue grass to current rock. This will tell my age but the best concert was 1977 in LA Led Zeppelin, got tickets for the floor for $5.
See you guys Tuesday Morn, family wants to watch a movie tonight
always remember
Never pick up a hot coffee pot from the bottom
(My handle broke and to keep it from falling I grabbed it) Yes it hurt, but I didn’t spill one drop
Peace
@usnretiredx2
I think the 100% best concert I seen was Billy Joel, he stayed on stage for 4 hours, and another one was Bog Segar and his lead off was Kansas..Fantasic
Night all
First Concert.
Older sister (the left of left one) took me to Steppenwolf 1968. Last cocert Moody Blues last year. Bet one to send shivers up my arms was Eagles (First) Hell Freezes Over tou, 8 rows back and openned with Hotel California with the Bongo opening.
Night Coffee
I will take your lead and follow.
Night ALL
Bet = Best
tou = tour
Call you tell it is past my bed time
Hope Paul is around.
This is of concern to me . President Obama toured the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum today and called it a reminder that nations too often do not do enough to prevent atrocities. By ‘Executive Order’, he created an Atrocities Prevention Board & appointed Samantha Power as chair.
In a New Statesman interview during the 2008 presidential campaign, Power’s priority within the NSC was to undermine US support for Israel. Bizarrely, she once advocated landing a “mammoth protection force” of US troops in Israel to save the Palestinians from “genocide”. “You have to go in as if you’re serious,” she declared in 2002. She was deadly serious then. What about now?
We remember her lately for our intervention in Libya. She put forth the doctrine “Responsibility to Protect.” She believes the United States to slowly devolve its power to international bodies

Israel should be worried.
In case anyone has forgotten, her husband is President Obama’s regulatory czar, Cass Sunstein . He wants, as an example, to have companies (car, oil, anything and everything) reporting behavior change through regulations so the public outcry will force them into doing the right thing – the “nudge.” Sunstein wants to nudge us into making good choices…. the problem is , these choices are determined by the politicians & when does a nudge become a shove or a demand.
If you read his book ‘Nudge’ you would know Sunstein has advocated that the government would “presume” someone has consented to having his or her organs removed for transplantation into someone else when they die.
Under such a policy, hospitals would harvest organs from people who never gave permission for this to be done.
“Sunstein believes many animals will become extinct. He did consider giving animals rights to an attorney and the right to sue in court when he wrote his first book in the 70?s
Sunstein does not believe in the Second Amendment and has considered the notion of outlawing hunting.
It doesn’t stop there, however, in 2008, while at Harvard Law School, Salon.com reports, Sunstein co-wrote a truly pernicious paper proposing that the U.S. Government employ teams of covert agents and pseudo-”independent” advocates to “cognitively infiltrate” online groups and websites — as well as other activist groups — which advocate views that Sunstein deems “false conspiracy theories” about the Government. This would be designed to increase citizens’ faith in government officials and undermine the credibility of conspiracists.”
(Sunstein’s Harvard paper on governmental spying available online)
