Definitions:
DVR (Time-shifted) Adults 18-49 Ratings – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs.
Live+Same Day(Live+SD) ratings include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing.
Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.
DVR Ratings Increase Past Airdate - How many people watched the show on their DVRs within 7 days following the airdate
Until the 2009-2010 season, we used a show's LIVE program rating or viewership as the base upon which the LIVE+7 day DVR viewing was added. Now, the press seems to be standardizing around using LIVE+SAME DAY DVR viewing as the base for the calculations, so that's what we do now as well.

Bad DVR numbers for GOSSIP GIRL, RINGER and Happy Endings.
and CSI: Miami finale???
fringe still under 2.0 with dvr is pathetic
no it’s not. really. ask around.
Cue the Fringe haters.
Terrible numbers for Ringer!
Interesting CBS Thursday 3 out 4 of their shows placed in the top 7 Viewership gains. ROE didn’t get any increase @all ???
Always great DVR numbers for Fringe!
Halloween, how do you figure? It sounds like you are bitter about something.
Can’t stop laughing looking at Gossip Girl and Ringer ratings.
How surprising is it to see “SMASH”‘s audience increase so much on DVR? It more than DOUBLES the demo rating of “30 Rock” when DVR+7 is considered. No wonder NBC rushed to renew it. It also demonstrates that its success is not entirely “The Voice”-related.
You Nielsen community fans who are DVR-ing and not watching live have a responsibility to watch it live!!
Grimm continues to do well in the DVR viewing. I repeat myself, but come on, people, watch live!
Isnt it a good thing that Gossip Girl even makes it on the top 25?
GG and Ringer are the only CW shows to make it on the dvr list no?
Ringer is dead for sure. But these hating comments must be from Nikita fans. That show is dead also.
LOL it takes GG a week of DVR to get the same rating that SPN gets live+SD on a Friday!! And yet GG is 100% safe? Pathetic. The CW deserves all the failure it gets.
“Grimm continues to do well in the DVR viewing. I repeat myself, but come on, people, watch live!”
Agree!
GG will get its final season, deal with it and stop obsessing over it people.
Most people who hate on GG are fans of CW’s flopping freshmen shows. Move on…
GG and Ringer are the only CW shows to make it on the dvr list no?
That’s because the rest of the CW shows were in repeats
Happy Endings, still pathetic after DVR increase, ABC cancel that awful flop!
@A, that’s because Gossip Girl and Ringer were the only scripted dramas on the network during that week that aired new episodes. Hart Of Dixie, Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, Nikita, and 90210 were/is on break. Usually, all these shows make the list.
