Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2012 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.
Definitions:
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

I’m on the list of people who didn’t watch the 25th anniversary. Also @One secretly likes me.
Once Upon A Time was fantastic last night.
OUAT was good, way to fake us out with Pinocchio as fake Bay
It’s shocking how The Good Wife and 60 minutes can have such lousy demos, yet the best ratings of the night.
I’ll say one thing for Harry’s Law–it’s audience is loyal. Again it gets 8.5 million viewrers with just a tiny key demo.
Ahahah, NYC22 with 1.4 Rating.
CBS, cancel this miserable show and give CSI Miami another Season.
@HT
NCIS has great ratings, and lousy demos, it’s how CBS calls itself the #1 network but advertisers mock them
Aren’t the ranked shows usually listed in descending order, from top ratings to bottom, in each time period?
So a 25 year old rerun of Married With Children with no promotion got the same demo as last week’s new Community. This makes me think that my old idea of NBC just having a couple of nights where they reair old NBC hits from the past would be more profitable than what they’re doing now.
Once Upon A Time, highest rated program of the night. HELL YSE!! Love the photo by the way, Robert Carlyle’s one of (if not the best) actor on the series!
halfes please.
Firelight is supposed to be a 1.9 in the table, not a 1.6.
NYC 22 look dead! once stop droping and look stable now and FOX 25th Anniversary Special look really terible!
shouldent once upon a time be at the top of the table not 3rd
I remember reading a comment from someone who said that since Married with Children was so popular, it could get a 3.0, LOL, 1.3 more likely! GO OUAT! I like how ABC promotes it as the #1 drama! About time!!
The Good Wife is amazingly steady… too bad it’s at such a low level in the demo (although it’s still last night’s third highest rated show). Also, when will CBS stop with its NY based boring cop shows ? Can NYC 22 already !
Harry’s Law is again among the most popular shows of the night, too bad it’s not popular among the people who matter for the advertisers !
OUAt was great! I was hoping for normal ratings after the break. Maybe it’ll get adjusted up in the finals
Why did it take 3rd place this time? Could be a problem
@AA Bill or was it Robert? said that the table is always right, maybe the text is wrong.
Watching OUAT now, online. Saw the Fox special last night and enjoyed it, especially the animation bits as segue ways. I didn’t think those MWC and Simpsons shows were the pilots, though, were they? I thought Fox planned to show Simpsons’ 500th episode and whatever they had planned for MWC (might have been the pilot after all). I didn’t watch those so I don’t know.
Renew OUAT already!
wow ouat went up from the last episode. that’s this weeks NYT shocker.
