“60 MINUTES” IS #6 FOR THE WEEK

Broadcast Is Also Sunday’s # 1 Program

Once again, 60 MINUTES was one of America’s 10 most-watched programs.  The broadcast drew an audience of 12.96 million viewers and scored a household rating of 8.3/14 to finish at #6 in both those measurements, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, April 22.

America’s #1 news program was Sunday’s #1 program in both households and viewers, posting its largest audience since Feb. 12.

Sunday’s 60 MINUTES featured Steve Kroft’s story about the collapse of Lehman Brothers, the largest bankruptcy in the world, Bob Simon’s report on the exodus of Palestinian Christians from the Holy Land and Armen Keteyian’s feature on sunken treasure discovered off the coast of Key West, Fla.

The lead story on Lehman Brothers was a trending topic on Twitter Sunday evening.

CBS News Chairman Jeff Fager is the executive producer of 60 MINUTES.
