I can’t believe so many people care about the hot mess of a network called the CW.
Good for DWTS. Continues to narrow the gap to the Super Bowl fueled singing show.
People GG is a teen show which has lasted 5 seasons so far, and the WB boss admitted last week if it wasn’t for these established shows then the network would have collapsed years ago. (Yes we know that it’s not good in the long run) but GG will get its renewal.
Freshman shows including Nikita are the EMBARRESSMENTS – They cannot even hit over 1.0s for first/second seasons
So stop with the GG abuse
Wow @Dancing with the Stars getting 3.2 demo up against The Voice! Motown week was successful for the show.
Also the CW has been saying that they will start to push for online advertising as 25% more people are watching their shows online!
Low numbers yes but this network is seriously changing.
The WB and CW want a better ratings system.

FINALLY someone with logic.
I think most of these people are mad that their favorite shows aren’t as lucky as GG has been. GG will have 6 seasons and the fans will have over 100 episodes and dvds forever. GG remains an iconic / golden show for the CW network.

The ones saying that GG is under 1 million again: None of the TV channels looking to viewers in millions but to the 18-49 rating, GG has never hit 0.4 like Ringer or Nikita (yet).
WC is for teens and early 20s, teens are into computers and internet like really hard, they stream their tv shows whenever thay want for free cuz they know how it works, nobody from our generation watches tv anymore, there’s a hundred websites where they upload almost immeadiately our shows for free! It’s obvious the ratings are so low
The Voice always runs over 1 minute into Smash on my TIVO. For weeks there was some awkward transition clip where Carson Daly would interview the stars of the show. I think the run-over theory is most valid as to why Smash gets adjusted down.
In related news, I can’t get that freaking Bollywood song out of my head.

CW should cancel every show on the network but TVD and start over with fresh shows and better ideas.The numbers already look like bad joke.
Why is their four numbers for total views? Are all those zeros at the end of each numbers supposed to be there?

Funny how fans of shows in the 0.4-0.5 club think GG getting worse ratings will improve their chances. The season is almost over, you know. I doubt the station will pick Ringer over GG under any cirmcumstances as this point.

Personally, Smash and it’s ratings are always down because of the show itself. In my opinion, Smash is it’s own worst enemy. Really, how much talent does it take to act out betrail, adultery, melodrama, and sex. Not withstanding the very predictable plot lines; the over all temper of the show is to do anything and everything to get to the top regardless of the consequences and harm that it brings to others. I have said it before and I will say it again; Smash should stand for Superficial Melodrama with Anticipatory Scatological Histrionics. Just because life is sometimes pathological and sadistic does not mean it makes for good T.V.

That is correct. The Fast Nationals (first report out) measure time periods, not the shows themselves. Most of the time that’s an irrelevant distinction since a show fits exactly into a time period.
The Final ratings measure the shows themselves, adjusting for any over/under runs (as well as other things like live broadcasts and pre-emptions).
GG will get the OTH treatment. Final season in the spring – wouldn’t be surprised if it got 16 instead of 13.
