    Agreed, they need to revamp. Get back to their glory days of top notch journalism! They get farther from it each day

    If they ever do, they will give Fox a challenge and quickly

  • Rod D

    @ CNN Fan

    Do you think there really is much of a market for “top notch journalism”?

    It would be nice to think so, but unfortunately people want entertainment, and top notch journalism just isn’t too entertaining.

    I bet with a strong conservative line-up, CNN could easily beat out Fox News.

    Hire Fox News’ best talent away from them, and CNN’s ratings will put Fox News’ ratings in the basement.

  • Coffee Steve

    @Rod D & CNN Fan

    I honestly think what all of us want is news to report on an equal basis.

    We the public NEED that. I don’t care if there are 4 cable news networks, the ones that get the best stories and gets the facts right would get the public support and the ratings.

    They have forgotton the media’s true purpose, to hold ALL in our Government accountable and make sure they stay and run the government with at least some ethics.

    Thank you d.d. !!! Heading to the W for dinner tonight in Hollywood then across the street to the Pantages to see Billy Elliot… Not sure what I’m getting into…. But who can say no to house seats with good friends. Heidi is A very nice woman who lost her husband a year ago in his early 50’s…. so sad. But shes amazing and so glad to get to go with her and her friends again.

    Hope you have a fabulous week end planned. Same to you all!!!

    Can anyone say something good about Romney in here??? The Obama B!tch fest is due for a night off :)

    Can anyone say something good about Romney in here???

    He wears good ties? :-)

    Have a good time out Jeff

    *Third congressman calls for EPA official’s resignation over ‘crucify them’ comments -

  • Jeff

    @coffee. Yes great ties!!

    Actually CNN did a really good story on Bishop Mitt Romney where he helped a family in need that he guided them also converting over to Mormonism which changed their lives for the better. I was pleased to see that he did something so kind for those particular folks, minus the religious aspect due to my lack of full knowledge about their faith. Mitt is very quiet on his past with his church. W Bush rammed his evangelical ways down our throats. In my book love and compassion is a plus no matter your faith.

  • Jeff

    Did Greta announce on her show that she is bringing Lindsay Lohan to the corespondence dinner as her guest???

    Just Curious….

    Fox is not allowed on in my house ;)

  • Coffee Steve

    @Jeff

    Yep, Lindsay is going with Greta, and I’m hurt I have met Greta at the capital building and thought she would have called me LOL

    After the WH phones were ringing off the hook, And Under heavy pressure from farm groups, the Obama administration said Thursday it would drop an unpopular plan to prevent children from doing hazardous work on farms owned by anyone other than their parents.

    The Labor Department said it is withdrawing proposed rules that would ban children younger than 16 from using most power-driven farm equipment, including tractors. The rules also would prevent those younger than 18 from working in feed lots, grain bins and stockyards.

    The Public wins One…Cool

    I am watching cable news tv from abroad where cnn has kept a good credibility. I would like the competition between the 3 to be more balanced.Fox news is too dominant for me.I am dreaming of a debate for example on cnn between the liberal olbermann and the conservative Beck at 8pm ET to challenge O’reilly too high in the ratings.Unfortunately it is only a dream.

  • Dana

    Went to a breakfast this morning for Romney, he finally started to reveal his plan for getting the economy going and his plan for a surge in jobs and his plans are going to be dynamic..nothing Obama does will come close..it’s going to be a fun summer….

  • Thinkaboutit

    Fox and msnbc are both in the tank(as oreilly puts it) for the right and
    Left. Anyone that thinks fox is truly fair and balanced needs to ask
    Where is the Rupert Murdoch scandal reporting is. He owns fox and
    As a result there is almost zero reporting on this. He’s been presiding
    Over right wingers ruling the govt in England for years with his media stranglehold
    I wAtch both fox and msnbc. They all have agendas

  • Dana

    Elanga:: people fail to realize that fox is the ONLY station that leans conservative,if you add up CNN, msnbc,abc,NBC,CBS,NPR,PBS,current tv,….and add them up,their are more liberals watching than conservatives….

  • suikostinger

    CNN, msnbc,abc,NBC,CBS,NPR,PBS,current tv,

    So ALL of those are liberal? ALL OF THEM!!? Seems like some kind of conspiracy that Fox told you to keep saying…..

  • Joey

    Fox is right of center, but so is the country. They started their network with the idea of equally REPORTING conservative and liberal points of view and issues. I make the distinction (which liberals fail to do quite a bit) between REPORTING and ANALYSIS. There is no doubt Fox’s reporting is the most fair to both sides. Special Report is the gold standard for political reporting. O’Reilly, like him or not, he wants the audience to hear both sides and admits his traditional beliefs. This is much better than the other networks that think their left-wing views are moderate and report through that context.

  • Dana

    Joey:: I agree with your comment and today I think I heard that NBC , to protect their brand, will make some sort of break with msnbc ,that is becoming the lead in the Obama campaign….but I will check it out…

  • Joey

    Dana:
    Wow! That would be a big story and would give me reason to somewhat repect NBC. Thanks for the info, Dana.

    You’re making an ignorant assumption. Greg Palkot has been reporting from London on the subject.
