Definitions: Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

@PJM – CT also coming out of a 1.3 lead-in vs. 2.2 for HE and Apt. 23. CT only one to increase on its lead-in. Makes the 1.5 seem much closer to the other two numbers…plus CT is a season from syndication.

  • Max

Yeah, just noticed Revenged has 2.0 for both half hours. That’s some good news at least. It usually does a good 10PM number but drops quite a few tenths for the 1030PM portion. So, managing to keep the audience throughout the hour is a win. If only it was 2.3-2.5 instead of 2.0 though. That would be fantastic.

  • s0303

kind of dumb for abc to have apt 23 after a modern family repeat…it hasn’t been on long enough to get a huge fan base already to do well by itself…still did just as good as happy endings would have done in that situation, so that’s a positive…

  • Jon

I don’t understand the buzz on Apt. 23. I’ve watched 2 episdoes now and find it really unfunny. The black-haired woman’s character is getting old now and the blonde is annoying. Van Der Beek is the only funny character in my opinion. If ratings keep declining, I wouldn’t be surprised.

  • brandy

    Yikes. About everything.

  • HB

Revenge may have been a bit boring last week but this week’s episode dint deserve 2.0.Hopefully it can get adjusted up in the finals!

  • Sid

    @Bill

“I thought that repeat had a chance for the first broadcast adults 18-49 goose egg (0.0) we’ve ever seen, but no!”

Didn’t CW’s MELROSE PLACE achieve that award 3 seasons ago?

Hart of Dixie came quite close though:http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2012/03/13/monday-final-ratings-the-voice-repeats-of-house-how-i-met-your-mother-2-broke-girls-adjust-up/124195/

  • Common Anomaly

“Correct. I just saw that Common Anomaly. Still, CT was able to improve from its lead-in and it had just recently come off a nine week hiatus.”

CT was able to improve its lead-in from Last Man Standing repeat to a 1.5. Nine week hiatus. Nine month hiatus. CT knows hiatus.

  • Skylar

ABC is the worst network when it comes to scheduling. For that reason alone, those lows are well deserved.

  • Cody

Here’s what happened, Once Upon a Time experienced ratings declines 4.0-2.9, 3.0ish therefore the Evil Queen Regina cast a curse on all other ABC shows so that the only show with goodish ratings shall be there’s and the only one immune from the curse is the savior (Grey’s Anatomy albeit damaged) and Modern Family.

  • joh

The number of ratings experts who know everything is fascinating

  • Alan

I hope Revenge gets adjusted up. 7 millions please.

  • Psycho Bob

you people overreacting about Revenge need to get with reality – it’s ABC’s best 10pm show ever, why would it not get renewed?

Revenge is the best show on Network TV right now and all season it’s ratings have been steady.

the only question I have is where is the story going? It seems like they covered a lot of ground this season and makes me wonder what is left for next year?

great show, but it feels like it could end after Season 2.

  • John

I hope Revenge gets adjusted up and the final four episodes are stronger. Damn you ABC and your constant repeats.

  • SF

    @SJ-

“Congratulations, ABC. The best episodes of Revenge and Apartment 23 were left to fend for themselves last night. That is really some top notch scheduling. Idiots!”

    I totally agree!! Ughh!

  • Paul

ABC loves killing their own hits. They’ve done it for years.

  • Dennis

Revenge is as dull as dishwater… it will get axed next year

  • Michael

Nice increase for Rock Center With Brian Williams. Still a massive flop, but it grew lol.
