You can see TV ratings from other recent Overnight ratings reports here.

Definitions: Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

ABC could have easily ordered 24-26 The Middle, Modern Family, and even Suburgatory episodes to make sure their Wednesdays become the new Must-See TV (given that the RVG creator refused to do more than 22 and Apt. 23 premeired this late).

What do they get by playig whatever this cut-and-paste game they do with repeat-again/new-again scheduling?

Though I give it to them that the RVG hiatuses handling has been the least lousy of their shows – definitly the dramas – but the above problem of cut-and-paste remains. I.e, keep the scheduling the same but make sure it gets original Modern Family on every noght it’s on.

I read that Big Brother will be on next month on Thursday. I wander what show
    they are going to move.

  • Demo Player

L.A. Complex should move to Wednesdays at 8pm. The CW needs to give viewers a chance to see this show during the summertime like when FOX gave Beverly Hills, 90210 a run back in 1991.

  • Mark

BFF is hilarious! It should of aired after Up All Night in the fall and not that awful Free Agents. It could of even aired after The Office instead of Whitney.

“Speaking of Revenge the only thing that worries me about a second season is from what ive read it will be a completely new cast everything and Im worried people will not be willing to give new people and a new story a fighting chance to survive a second season much less make it through the ENTIRE second season if it gets renewed not saying it will but itd be nice if it did.”

Where exactly did you see this? Can you provide a source? Havent seen about this anyway. So please back it up.

Also, perhaps you are thinking of American Horror Story (which was in the same exact time slot) and they already announced that season 2 would be an entirely new cast.

  • Melanie

I caught The LA Complex last night and I thought it was really good. Perhaps they should move it to 8pm on Weds since One Tree Hill is no longer on.

  • rob60990

@Christy, Big Brother doesn’t start until July.

  • rob60990

I’m sure Revenge will add characters and get rid of characters as the show goes on like most dramas do. If they want characters to get rid of, I vote for the Porter boys.

  • H5O Fan

@Justin, the most episodes I have ever seen ordered for a season for a show is 24. If you think shows should have more episodes, just thinking that is more of a union issue.

  • GWCarver

I watched L.A. Complex for 8 minutes, nothing happened, so I watched something else. I looked like Melrose Place without a plot.

IMO Revenge’s big mistake last week was to introduce a new lover for Victoria. Seriously, how many affairs can she have? Couldn’t they make him a brother or a cousin or an accomplice of some sort? Then they populated the episode with so many pointless make out scenes between them I got bored. My mom who hadn’t watched the show before thought it resembled a Spanish soap opera and wondered why I was watching. Last night’s ep is still in my DVR cause I want to watch it alone and not risk getting embarrassed.

May swipes basically start tonight, and if I may make a suggestion to this site, I hope that you have certain posters making logical comments to off set the crazy that is going to start. I love this site, but as of late I am missing comments that always put things in perspective when comments get out of control, and most of all I miss the comments that totally shut people up when they are wrong.

Seriously look at tonight’s line up, full strength and full fan crazy tomorrow.

  • Justin121

OK the Revenge future self-contained volumes are reminding me of… Heroes. Ugh. That can’t be good.

I’ve been rooting they get rid of Tyler, Ashley, Nolan, (obviously the young Porter) all season.

It seems more and more like Ashley is getting a big storyline next season. I hate the way she and Nolan speak. They’re difficult to hear and sound convoluted.

One thing you should give to RVG: it lets you attatch to the story and not to a single character. Quite an acomplishment for any show. Viewers wouldn’t leave when a certain actor leaves.

Sometimes I feel Revenge is the best show currently on television. Even better than The Good Wife. I feel like TGW is the better show but it doesn’t have the build-up and resulting consequences action and climax that Revenge has.

Also, character depth and development is one of the strongest qualities of The Good Wife while the exact oppiste happens to be one of the strongest qualities of Revenge. That’s a huge paradox in my own personal liking of both these top 2 shows.

  • Matto

wowwww Revenge…its ok, the monster MF will upp all shows next week ;)

  • Fred

    Couldn’t agree with you more!

But I’m not giving up hope. Prime Time Soaps tend to be cyclical.

  • Networkman

Revenge will get renewed. It does good for the ABC network. My problem is that it is facing 12 year old CSI and 13 year old Law & Order:SVU and it should be doing better. It is a quality program and ABC should want to see it stronger. I would of loved to see it air after a new episode of Modern Family once again before the season was over.

The 10pm hour is too competitive. I don’t see the other networks moving their shows. Criminal Minds and CSI is a great duo. Therefore ABC may have to think about moving Revenge in the fall. I would love for it to either be slotted behind Once Upon A Time or get the DWTS lead in.

  • Matto

Revenge is a strong fighter —- but dipping from 7.8 Million Viewers to 6.8 Million Viewers is a great, big OUCH. APT 23 premiered with a strong 2.9 and 6.9M and then to a yet still strong 2.6 and 6.4M and now it has plummeted all the way down to 2.0 and 4.9M…..#smh

  • Gaius Bolling

Argh Revenge was so good last night. I wonder why it hit a low. think it will be adjusted up? in my opinion it should be doing better. best drama on ABC in my opinion

  • carole

Well, As a Survivor watcher from the beginning, I won’t be watching the show anymore. You have to have a player that you like. There are none left. They voted off the last likable person last night. And I didn’t watch.
