South Park was again Wednesday's top cable show with a 1.3 rating in adults 18-49, flat with last week. Duck Dynasty was the number two cable original with an 0.9 rating in adults 18-49.

We only receive the top 100 cable shows for adults 25-54 for the whole day from our primary source, if you don't see your show it wasn't in that top 100 list.

The list below is long but you can use your browsers "find on page" feature (usually CTRL+F or CMD+F) to search - that's probably the easiest way to find last night's episode of Moonshiners.

lETS tALK ABOUT hOCKEY RATINGS cHILDREN:
    ========================================
Spin, compound it, confuse it all you want BUT the actual numbers jusy won’t go away for thin-skinned and desperate hockey fans …. the following list is from the master spinner for NHL ratings PuckTheMedia, not even his wordy; bull&hit attempts to obscure the obvious with so-called ‘averages’ derived from convoluted statistical fibbing (compending both local broadcast and cable audiences and presenting it as NATIONAL figures) can hide the simple truth about the direct national audience for hockey:-

Top 10 Most-watched Games of the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs on Cable
    1. Washington vs. Boston, Game 7 (4/25/12, NBCSN): 1.32 million
    2. Philadelphia vs. Pittsburgh, Game 5 (4/20/12, NBCSN): 1.07 million
    3. Pittsburgh vs. Philadelphia, Game 4 (4/18/12, NBCSN): 1.03 million
    4. NY Rangers vs. Ottawa, Game 6 (4/23/12, NBCSN): 861,000
    5. Philadelphia vs. Pittsburgh, Game 1 (4/11/12, NBCSN): 847,000
    6. Los Angeles vs. Vancouver, Game 5 (4/22/12, NBCSN): 817,000
    7. Boston vs. Washington, Game 3 (4/16/12, NBCSN): 804,000
    8. Philadelphia vs. Pittsburgh, Game 2 (4/13/12, NBCSN): 795,000

On another note…. I do recall commenting before on who watches hockey; Canadians, a few eastern US cities, a couple second-tier European countries and assorted racists (especially in the USA) who are really hockey’s pale, dirty, white underbelly that some hockey fans like to pretend does not exist but which everyone else clearly sees. Boston Bruins fans represent this lot and they are a significant percentage of hockey fans if not a majority. The bigotry is just below the surface in their seeming affection for hockey and dislike of the NBA; occasionally it spills out into the open like it did against that Ward fella who beat the Bruins.

Real american sports do NOT tolerate racists – they expose them.

  • Matt

Torrid ignores the fact that the rating doesn’t include Boston and Washington D.C. as it was blacked out in both cities.

And trying to bring up bigotry as a negative element in hockey being the NBA fanboy that you are is just hilarious.

Wasn’t it just last year that the NBA came down on Kobe for using homosexual slurs? I’d suggest backing off the topic of bigotry if you want to help your case for the NBA.

  • BJH

    @ Peter

When was this announced? I can’t find a press release.

  • Torrid

Actually Matt, I don’t have to make a case for the NBA – they’re making a good case for themselves. Using their REGULAR SEASON games to deliver blow after heavy ratings blow to PLAYOFF hockey in America. :)

The miniscule audience for playoff hockey is a large and uncomfortable pill to swallow eh Matt? I expect to remind you and other hockey fanbois of this fact frequently – when the NBA playoff’s start its gonna be really bitter for you guys, I will relish it! Its time someone told the truth about hockey, its shortcomings and its incorrect reputation as the 4th sport in America (Soccer and Nascar are far more popular as participation and spectator sports respectively).

  • DW

fine. i am a white guy that hates basketball. i am a racist. i love football and baseball. and those are still lousy numbers. NBA should be getting a 3.0. the games on NFL network pulls in better numbers and it isn’t even in half the homes ESPN is in. sad.

  • Matt

Torrid, does it make you sad that the NHL did ratings barely lower than the NBA… Without local markets being included… On a network that’s available to roughly 80% of the audience that NBA markets are available to?

Kinda sad if you ask me.

And I don’t think you want to get into spectators, because the NHL was over 5% better on average in attendance this year than the NBA. Oops.

And you didn’t want to go back to that bigot argument after I brought up Kobe huh? Didn’t think so.

    Pathetic.

  • A

Im relieved to see those numbers for Happily Divorced.
    3rd season announcement – we’re ready!

  • AsTheWorld

Happily Divorced hasnt announced a 3rd season yet, it probably will and (should)get one, but no announcement yet.

  • Peter

@AsTheWorld , Season 3 HAS been announced! 12 eps, season 3 , news was made public by Fran Drescher herself.

  • xwiseguyx

Nice rebound for Million Dollar Listing NY – a very good series that’s gotten better and better…

  • Chris

@Master Moron–yeah, the South Park kids look so much older now. :D

  • Nazel

@Chris : Agh these are pics from back when South Park’s animation quality was crappy, it’s a lot better now.

  • Rod

Happy that Million Dollar Listing NY keeps going up. :)

  • JR

Happily Divorced had great retention this week. :) It’s not a GREAT show or anything, but it’s enjoyable enough. Also nice to see the 1 a.m. repeat numbers, which are pretty decent.

  • The End

Speaking of South Park, Cartman confessing his love to Kyle was hilarious, especially as he’s hated him and still does since the show began. Everything about this episode was just brilliant, shows the sense of humor there.

  • Torrid

To DW I know son I know (pats on the back) ….. anyway back to Matty.

Trying to change the subject Matty boy :) – ain’t gonna let ya – no sirree !!!
NHL ostensibly that erstwhile NBA’s nemesis is starving for national attention and that irks the bujeesus outta you – right Matty? Especially when NBA regular season games garner so much more attention from the nation than PLAYOFF hockey; you know “nothing beats the excitement of playoff hockey” yeah that one LOL!!!

It’s not that we hate hockey Matty its that we don’t care. My purpose here is to call out the BS that flies so freely out of your (and others like you) slack-jawed mouths. It’s been easy to claim phantom national interest when nobody lays out the numbers. If it feels like I’m pi&&ing in your little pool its not personal fella just amusing- When you NHL fans egg each other to greater and greater heights of absurdity with outlandish claims about hockey’s place in the world of sports it feels good to puncture that balloon with undisputable facts. I just loooove it!!!! :)

  • Matt

Torrid managed to successful talk a bunch of crap and not address any of the points that were made.

He looks good to any idiot friends over the internet, but to anybody with a logical brain, he’s looking pretty dumb right now.
