    @Peter

    African Americans are 12% of the population, and they, and the latinos skew younger than the other groups. Only 2.0% of all the people between A18-49 are watching. Considering not all are African Americans, I would say that the show is probably under performing in even in that demographic, at least considering ABC expectations when picking the first African American female lead in 30 years.

    Being the one highest rated shows in one demographic with low overall ratings does nothing to keep a show on the air. Unless you can tell me it’s males A18-34, or people with income above $100K. Never heard that high African American viewership was a coveted demographic, could be my bad.

    If are implying that, that because of that, the show is going to be renewed for political reasons. Then it’s another question, and it has nothing to do with the ratings. The show will still be a poor player for ABC, and the only place I see it in next season’s schedule is on Fridays.

    I’m not happy Scandal got adjusted down again it’s been happening since the show started.

    POI needs a stronger lead in. It gained more than 4.5 million viewers after ROE.

    I don’t think so! I think POI already is strong enough on its own and don’t need strong lead-in! But depends too much from competition! If there have big sport happening or reality go down than go up until is again vs competition attracting a lot of male! No consistency! But i guess more of the rookies are that way! CSI last year vs nfl draft is 2.3! This type of shows NCIS CSI H5O POI are attracting more male i guess!

    Say what you will about TSC starting off strong in the fall, but its ratings since January have gone from subpar to a joke.

  • Omega

    hey guys btw incase no one knew I who lives in chicago could not watch vd as it was preempted for baseball so that affected vd also since chicago probably does as much viewing as say….LA?

  • kul65

    The Mentalist, better… but still… Can’t be faltering now if it’s gonna get all contracted seven seasons. :(

    @Michael
    Gossip Girl, Ringer, Hart of Dixie, and America’s Next Top Model welcomes Secret Circle with open arms to the ever growing, “0.5 Club.”

    Did you forget Nikita or does she have her own “0.4 Club”? ;)

    This is why the CW desperate needs another hit on the network this fall!

    Hopefully Arrow can provide that for them. It seems like their best bet.

  • DonJ1973

    1.4 and 7M viewers isn’t great by any means, but considering the competition, I hope ABC will consider another 10-13 episode midseason run for Missing.

  • Ben Thompson

    Great for Vampire Diaries. It will probably do about a 1.2-1.3 for its finale.

    At this point, I’m pretty sure HOD will be renewed and Nikita, Ringer, and TSC will be cancelled.

  • JVZUMAGIRL

    POI continues to attract most viewers in time slot,even after showing two repeat episodes in a row!
    Last night was a real twister at the end, season finale is supposed to be off the charts good. Can’t wait. POI ROCKS!!

  • Bunny

    just found out NBC pulled out BFFs

  • Bunny

    According to Futon Critic Community’s season finale is 90 min.

  • forg @ S

    ABC studios submitted Missing as mini-series for the Emmys so if by any chance they’ll have a second season it will probably be with a new cast ala American Horror Story

    Missing IMO should have stayed as a summer show

  • forg

    ^ that post is not S but for DonJ1973. my bad

  • Networkman

    ABC has dramas with strong female leads. The acting from Ashley Judd and Kerry Washington are excellent. Scandal may get more exposure come nomination time for Emmys.

    The Secret Circle should be cancelled and Hart of Dixie should be renewed.

  • suzie

    @Ben Thompson

    I hope you’re right. :)

  • A

    I think the SC will end up being renewed.

    Along with shows like GG. Cause everything except VD gets 0.5 It became the average demo for the network now.

    If they cancel one, they have to cancel everything else.

    Don’t you think so, site owner? Your thoughts, predictions?

    Most surprising thing for me is I like Touch – thought I would hate it, but I think Keifer Sutherland is keeping it afloat for me. Thought I would like person of interest, but man, that was a dreary, dragging, headache inducing show for me. Seems to be doing OK in the ratings, which means it must attract the “procedural junkies” who go nuts for the CBS stuff.

    Figures I would like the show with the tanking ratings. Good thing I refuse to get hooked on any shows these days….

  • Dan S

    Wow Touch is history. Hopefully this mean Kiefer will be available to do the 24 movie now. I’m not giving up yet on a chance Missing will be back however since 1.4 while tied with Community delivered over twice as many viewers. Too bad for Awake now delivering numbers The Firm had before getting bumped to Saturdays.
