In the afterglow of its recent renewal announcement, Fringe drew a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating vs. a 1.0 adults 18-49 rating last week. At 8pm, The Finder also had a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating, vs. a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating last Friday.

#FRINGE rises to a 1.1 with 3,142,000 viewers. #FINDER at a 1.1 with 3,941,000 viewers. Hangn' in gang.

    @ KS, last nights episide was amazing! One of the best of the season, and it was a really proggresive, experimentsl episode.

    @John A

    If Fringe had got The Finder’s ratings during its own season 1, it would have been axed then as well.

  • Tessa

    @Dennis, do you live under a rock and don’t know the show is already renewed or did my proclamation that people may no longer care about Lame Duck Fringe hurt your fanboy sensitivities?

  • John A

    I know but u could see why finder fans would be angry.

  • Red Jane

    Fringe’s ratings do not matter any longer (phew!) as its destiny is already decided with the announcement of its final fifth season but still… Good to see it go up and not down….

  • Fringe Fan

    @ Bill

    “Sadly for Fox, not meaningless.”

    True enough, but I can’t imagine that anyone at FOX is under the impression that Fringe’s ratings will suddenly leap up dramatically now, despite the renewal announcement. As has been said before, ratings were probably the last reason for Fringe season 5.

    A 1.2 would have been nice but I doubt anyone at FOX expected more than that. I know that I didn’t.

  • alexjones

    well we don’t have to worry about fringe ratings anymore, still nice to see it rise though.

  • Dennis

    @Tessa no I live in a house :) :)

    Go troll elsewhere!

  • Melanie

    @KS We’ll see in a bit how SPN did – but I don’t think you have your finger on the pulse of TV viewers – most comments/ reviews I’ve seen so far have been positive for last night’s episode and Ms Day.

    Congrats to Fringe fans on the renewal for a 5th season.

    If Fringe had got The Finder’s ratings during its own season 1, it would have been axed then as well.

    Yep! As every other new show! I think fringe first season is around 4.0 rating and 10 million viewers! Which now looks like mission impossible for most dramas even hit dramas!

    I find it physically impossible to say anything bad about Felicia Day under any circumstances. Thought she was awesome in Supernatural. I’ve heard some of the usual SPN elite having a go at her for daring to take time on screen away from Dean and Sam, but that’s true for every actor or actress that ever dared to go on the show. I swear some of the fans would be happy to just sit and watch 40 minutes of the Winchesters sat in the Impala every week! Just as long as no one else dares get in the way! ;)

    Who in the heck cares about the ratings?
    I’M watching and that’s all I need to know. :D
    Go Fringe!

  • John A

    Fringe had idol as a lead in season 1. Season 2 ratings dropped off a cliff without Idol.

  • Azzman

    SAVE The Finder! Actually a decent show!

  • Richard Steven Hack

    I agree that last night’s SPN was excellent – and Felicia was fabulous as always – especially the elevator dance number! And the “I was drunk – it was Comic-Con” line! :-)

    Fringe being up a tenth is like, “Who cares”? Wait for the next season drop into sub-Dollhouse territory…

  • Dennis

    @ John A season 2 averaged over 6 million viewers a actually..

  • Tom

    Who cares about other season’s ratings? We WILL have a final season. Period.

  • Dennis

    @Richard Steven Hack
    Dollhouse numbers would mean Fringe going under 2 million viewers
    Not gona happen

  • tvfreak

    Fringe up and Finder down…makes me happy! :)

  • Fringe Fan

    @John A

    Going purely from memory here but season 2 of Fringe was the first time it aired on a Thursday at 9, wasn’t it? Giving it increased competition (including Supernatural at the time) whilst also removing Idol as a solid lead in. I think a drop in ratings should have been expected.
